A Peachy Bulldog Day

Today I had a fun day.  I woke up with daddy since mommy went to run a 5k.  She was really happy when she got back because she ran a little bit faster! It was such a cool morning that I stayed in my duck sleep and play.  See you can sleep in it and play in it- at least that is what mommy said.

Mommy and I played a lot this afternoon and I played with my Bubble Gum machine.  I am starting to get it.  At first I would just stare at it.  Now I understand to push the blue lever down.  I still don't understand where to put the bubble gum pieces though so mommy helps me with that.

After my afternoon nap, mommy took me for a walk.  We met up with Karson and his mom and grandma.  It was such a fun walk.  I stayed awake the whole time and drooled and sucked my fingers. Karson slept again! I want to have a date with him when he is not sleeping.  I need to teach him a few things.  I know a lot of things since I am a bit older than he is, but he is bigger than me!

Mommy and I were also excited because the Bulldogs won! She is working on teaching me to say, "Go Dawgs!"  But I just smile at her when she says that.

I ate really well today too! I just love those peaches!

Our Georgia Peach

Today was much better than yesterday.  She ate much better- still a little fuss.  But she is chomping down the oatmeal.  Brendon gave her peaches this morning and she loved them.  I gave them again to her tonight and she was an eating machine.  So glad Olivia is a Georgia Peach!

I took Olivia to one of my favorite stores today- Carmichaels in Monroe.  The store is 1/2 pharmacy and 1/2 Hallmark.  We know that loving Hallmark runs in the family.  Grandma loves it (she can spend sometimes an hour in there) and I love it too.  There is just too much to look at.  There was such cute stuff.  I saw for Christmas they have a Charlie Brown recordable book- hint, hint, Grandma Debbie- save up those Hallmark points! Olivia was in the stroller and did a great job at the store.  She loved looking at all the fun stuff.  Everyone commented on how good she was being and how cute she was.  the best comment was,  "She is going to be a great shopper with you!" If you can't tell in the pictures, Olivia wore her John Deere tractor outfit today.  She was so stinking cute- of course I took her to Tractor Supply which is next door to Carmichaels but didn't see anything good.

It's official....we are teething

Grandpa sent us a funny comic today!

Well today was another day of frustration for us because Olivia just didn't want to eat again.  She was at our sitter in the morning and didn't take a bottle but ate her cereal and squash.  I tried to feed her when I got home and that was a no go.  I finally got her to eat 6 oz of formula about 12:50 p.m. So I called the doctor and we went in.  Of course Olivia got hungry there so I started to feed her and then the doctor walked in so I had to stop.  But the doctor checked her ears and everything looked ok.  She got weighed and weighs 16 pounds! We were so happy about that! Her 6 month appointment is next week! So hopefully she will weigh more next week!  So now we are just on tooth watch.  The doctor showed me where they were coming in- on the bottom... and should be there some time...when?!? She doesn't know...could be a week, could be 2 weeks, could be more.  So now bring on the fussiness, teething toys, and finger chewing and Tylenol... we are ready.

What's all the fuss?

Today was Gymboree day.  Olivia wasn't the best eater again this morning and I tried to feed her before Gymboree which didn't happen.  I tired when I got there... nope.  Finally after the class she ate! I felt so relieved.  After the class today I went with some other moms- Lauren and Michelle to Starbucks in the mall.  It was fun to chat with other moms! Too bad Olivia got fussy- she was getting sleepy.  She was so sleepy that she fell asleep before we left the mall parking lot!

I decided to call the pediatrician when I got home and they said it may be teething or an ear infection so just to watch if she gets a fever.  They also said I could give her some Tylenol.  After I gave her that Tylenol I could tell she felt some relief.  She is chomping on her hands all the time and chewing on her toys.  But she ate great tonight.  She at at 2:45 after Gymboree, 5:15. 6:15 oatmeal with squash, and then again at 7:50.  I guess she was hungry!

Tuesday Fun

Today I took Olivia to my old school to see friends.  It was so great to see everyone.  Every time I stop in there it feels like I never left.  I saw some of my old students and they are so big! I can't believe that I haven't been teaching there for 2 years.  I miss my friends from there.  Olivia was great there.  For all the people that stopped and said hi to her she never fussed.  She fussed a little at the end but that was because she was tired.  I have to admit, LOTS of people are saying that she looks like me.  Comparing her picture to mine now she is starting to look just a tad like me!

Olivia had lots of fun playing today and she was chatting up a storm.  She ate really well today, she had more formula today then she has had in the past few days.  Except tonight she usually takes a big bottle (6 oz) and she only drank half of it and started fussing.  So I am expecting a wake up call.  She woke up last night at 4:15ish and I could hear her sucking on her fingers and she ended up eating.  Not sure if she is teething still, that may be the cause of the decrease in eating and she is tugging on her ears a little bit and drooling a TON! We will see if something pops out soon...

Monkey Monday

Today was Monkey Monday. I wore monkey pajamas to bed last night and daddy put a monkey onesie on.  I just monkeyed around today.  Lots of playing! Sorry mommy is tired, she was super busy today.

Are You Ready for some Football??

Today Olivia experienced her first NFL Sunday.  At one time Brendon had 3 games on.  Of course Olivia wore her Buffalo Bills spirit wear and it  worked.  So she must wear it again next Sunday because believe it or not the Bills won!

Also today we made some goodies.  Brendon made homemade honey roasted peanuts and we made homemade pizza.  We even got the unglazed tiles like our neighbor Karyn.  Our pizza was not as good Karyn's because hers in the BEST, but we tried.  It was good though.  I was disappointed in my pizza appetite and wimped out after 2 pieces.  I think I had too many peanuts.
