Worth a million dollars

Tonight as Olivia and I were eating dinner the sun was hitting the trees just right in the backyard.  The leaves looked AMAZING! I know our house is not the most modern, fancy, and needs some work....but the view we have in the fall is amazing.  It makes our house worth a million dollars to me! This picture doesn't do much justice...but it looks so pretty!

Halloween 2013...overrated!

Well all I can say is this...Olivia woke up grumpy and stayed that way.  So much so that at about 2:00 I almost decided that trick or treating wasn't even going to happen.  But it did.  I am so glad that I didn't buy an expensive costume because what I did buy she can wear again, plus it was a struggle to even get that on.  The other side of this is that Olivia can't eat much of the candy she got anyways due to her allergy to tree nuts.

But we did end up trick or treating with our friends and Olivia finally had some fun.  We were in the little neighborhood parade and then trick or treated.  Once we started that part Olivia was much better.  The weather was great...we were a bit warm actually.  Then we stopped at the neighbors who gave her a big ol' bag of her favorite M and Ms.

But to me in my opinion...overrated! Maybe my opinion will change next year...plus we really missed our daddy!

Sometimes I feel like a Princess

Sometimes I feel like a princess with Olivia.  Here are things that she does for me or us:
*Turns on the lights in a room for me/us.
*She will lift the seat of the toilet for me, hand me toilet paper, and flush.  If I do a good job she picks me out a sticker, and sometimes I can have M and Ms.
* She gets me a coaster to place my milk on for dinner and passes out the napkins.
* When we have apples for lunch, she always picks us the perfect apple.
* She now notices when the toilet paper is getting low and will go get new toilet paper (2 rolls) and she will cry if she doesn't get to do this task!
 * Turn on channel 3 on the radio in the car so we can listen to country music.

I do think it is funny because these things are a big deal to her and if you mess up the routine...she will let you know! I am going to enjoy my time as a princess!!

Grey's Anatomy

I admit that I don't watch much tv during the week anymore. There is too much to do and too little time.  I used to watch Grey's Anatomy sometimes before Olivia was born.  I stopped watching while I was pregnant because some scenes were a little too bloody for me.  But I caught some clips today of some powerful moments that I could connect too.

First was the changing friendship between Meredith and Christina.  I admit after having Olivia life got turned upside down with friendships.  People that don't have kids don't want to hear your complaints or misadventures or that your kid finally pooped in the potty or that your mind is doing 1 million things at a time. So that was one adjustment that was difficult...

Another adjustment was priorities and work...Great scene at the end with Derek and Meredith trying to find that balance...

But just thought that these were great...people struggle in tv land too I guess!

Pumpkins and Happy Birthday Emily

This morning Olivia and I carved out pumpkins! She didn't want to really help with hers but she did pick out the design she wanted to put on it.  Then when hers was done I started on mine and then she did want to help.  Then after that it was a disaster...she didn't want to eat lunch and was super fussy and didn't want to nap or anything.  She finally fell asleep and then woke up crying 30 minutes later.  Since she didn't have a fever and still a stuffy nose, I checked her mouth for her 2 year molars but didn't see anything...I still gave her some Tylenol and then about 30 minutes later she perked back up.

Spooky finished product picture!

She ate some lunch on the way to Emily's birthday party at Everland.  We had a fun time.  Olivia loved to bounce on the big bouncy thing and climb high up.  We had a great time.

As soon as we got back in the car...crabby pants returned!
