Perfect Day for the Park!

The weather was awesome today! After school Olivia and I decided to pack a picnic dinner and have dinner at the park!  It was great.  We played first.  Then ate dinner and then played some more!! She even went down 2 of the 3 big slides tonight.  She went down the tall bumpy slide and the swirly twirly tunnel slide.

Such a great night with my girly!

Working Hard

I never talk much about work on here BUT....

Needless to say I have been working hard at being the best teacher, wife, mommy, daughter, friend, and runner.  The past two weeks I have had several nights of staying up almost to midnight working on school work.  In no way am I complaining about my job.  It is my job and I have prioritize my time needless to say.  Some of my best work gets done late at night!!

Today we had a big visitation day at school.  Our school is a BYOD school- Bring Your Own Device.  Our students are allowed to bring their personal tablets, phones, etc to use for instructional purposes.  Today we got to showcase that going on in our classrooms.  It was really great to showcase my students working.  They did such a great job and answered questions from the teachers visiting.

I have to say that I work at a phenomenal school with great teacher colleagues! We really came together and really worked as a team!

Here is a link to the article about what our school did today!

Mr. Bossy

A few weeks ago Olivia and I read Little Miss Bossy.  Every once in awhile she has started telling me what to do or NOT what to do.  So I often give her a reminder that she is being bossy and shouldn't tell people what to do! So now she keeps calling me Mr. Bossy.  I think she forgot it was a girl in the story...but if I ask her to do something sometimes she says, "OK Mr. Bossy"  It is cute sometimes but not all the time...

This Little Miss Bossy needs to get to work!

Hunting with daddy

Got a few pics from the daddy daughter hunt last night! They are so cute.  Brendon said she did pretty good...she loves to talk...so it was hard for her to stay quiet.  But she did pretty good.  They didn't see anything. But she told me all about hearing the acorns falling and not seeing any deer.

Hope this is a start of a tradition for her.  I know Brendon wants her to be outdoorsy...which she is...she has not problem picking up worms when fishing and loves being outside!  Such a great daddy-daughter time well spent.

Fall and a low key weekend

Well Fall arrived Saturday morning.  Friday it rained and was REALLY humid.  Brendon had a doctor's appointment so we stayed low key this weekend while he recovered.  Saturday we woke up and it was soooo chilly! We had a lazy Saturday morning and I went and got a haircut and in the afternoon I ran and then stopped to get new running shoes.  Then we watched the Georgia game...but then ended up watching the end of the Ole Miss game.  Today it was even chillier when we woke up so we decided to make chile for dinner!  Right now Brendon and Olivia are out in the woods...how can you resist when Olivia said, "Daddy can I go hunting with you?" How could he not take her...who knows how much longer that will last!

Nice fall run Saturday

Chilling out on the "bed couch" which Olivia calls it
