Happy 2nd Birthday Leo

Today was a weird day.  Olivia started running a low fever last night.  She slept all night and had no other symptoms.  Still a low grade fever this morning but acting normal.  We debated all day long if we should go.  It was at a farm so the kids wouldn't be close together anyways and since she had no other symptoms we went for a little bit.

It was supposed to rain today but there was no rain at Leo's birthday or at our house.  It was perfect.  There was a pony ride, a hay ride, we went and saw animals, played on the swings, tried the bouncy house (Olivia was a bit afraid of this one).  So we played and ate a little bit but she didn't want to eat or drink so we brought her home.  She ate a ton when we got home so that made us feel better.  Looking around in her mouth tonight it looks like she may be getting her 2 year molars!

Mommy can't do it

Oh how I love those words...mommy can't do it.  I love when Olivia says them because that means she is going to do whatever it is.  Most of the time it is cleaning up.  She will get upset if you try to help her! We had a busy afternoon...picked her up from Susan's, then went to Target, and had to make dinner.  She couldn't really wait for dinner so I started her on her new favorite...cucumber and carrots with dip and a tortilla.  She loves to dip! Then she ate some of the taco stuff I made too! I feel much better when she eats.  It stresses me out when she doesn't want to eat...I don't want her to be hungry! She was really tired so she wanted to take a bath early so we did and she is snoozing already so far!

Sorry no pictures...just a crazy week.  I will do better...I promise mom!

Jumping!

Olivia is finally catching some air with her jumps! Tonight at Gymboree I had her jumping off a ledge (a small one).  It almost simulated jumping in the pool.  At first I would hold her hands but then I started letting go.  She landed on her bottom sometimes and would give me a funny face like- why didn't you catch me? Other times she landed on her feet and said good jump!  Gymboree was crazy tonight...lots of crying...Olivia cried once...but almost everyone cried at one point of class tonight it seemed! Ms. Liz was fabulous and just kept going!

Fishing with Daddy!

Today Brendon took Olivia fishing.  He said they stopped at the store and bought some worms.  They went to Tribble Mill Park and did some fishing.  They did not catch anything though =( They then went and played at the playground.  I am so happy that he took her out to do something fun while I was working...and walking around my classroom for 2+ hours for testing.  For as good as shape I am in...my legs are so sore! I guess because it is a constant walk for that long and I am standing the whole time...NO SITTING AT ALL...which in a way is good! But man I am wiped out at the end of the day.

Olivia and I had a fun time sweeping the floor and vacuuming once I got home.  I am glad she thinks those chores are fun!

I love Cheerios! and walking the other side of the stree

Olivia says the funniest things sometimes.  Tonight while eating her snack she said, "I love Cheerios!" out of the blue.  Brendon and I both have noticed that she is saying more statements.  She told me that her lawnmower was stuck under daddy's chair.  She was exact, precise, and clear.  There are sometimes when I am not sure what she is saying...she has her own names for a few things. But most of the time we can figure it out.

We also had a great dinner tonight of pumpkin pancakes.  I just couldn't figure anything out to have for dinner so pancakes it was! I love breakfast for dinner.  She ate 1 and 1/2 pancakes! Sometimes she eats like a hippo and some days she eats like a bird.  I can't figure it out...maybe a growth spurt?

After dinner we went outside and watered the flowers.  It is great having a helper! Then we went for a walk on the street.  Usually we go out and to the left and walk one or two houses down since it is pretty flat.  Well today after walking left she wanted to go to the right so we walked up the hill to the right and it was amazing to her.  She kept saying, "We walking the other part of the street." She saw lots of pretty flowers, pine cones, and a few rocks.  Then we did the wheelbarrow before we went in.  It was a good night!

Park Play

Today we had a park play date with our friend Joe since Brendon went turkey hunting.  We met at a park in between both of our houses.  It was a bit breezy at first but then it warmed up.  We had so much fun! There was a bridge that we could cross and some slides that Olivia loved.  Then we had lunch (and both kids ate a TON of food!!) and enjoyed the sun and played some more.  Of course all good things come to an end...as we were leaving Joe's mom thought she lost her wallet.  We looked all over the place and couldn't find it.  Then when Olivia and I left and started driving, Olivia stuck a Lucky Charm up her left nostril.  So I pulled over and thankfully got it out.  It scared me to death! She has never done that before so I hope she never does it again!!
