Go Dawgs!

Today was a special day! Mommy and Daddy have been prepping me all week about today and how football starts today.  We picked out a special outfit and we even had a spare if I got it dirty.  Mommy tired all day to get me to cheer when she said "Go Dawgs."  I tried.  Mommy and I watched some football shows this morning and afternoon.  For my bedtime book we read "Hello, Hairy Dawg."  I really liked it and I even smiled a few times when mommy was reading.  After we read the book mommy and I played on the blanket to the Redcoat Band music and mommy tried to teach me some of the fight songs for UGA.  I giggled at some.  I tried to stay awake for the kickoff of the game but I fell asleep.  Oh well... we will try another week!

Fun Friday

Today was so much fun! I went to Physical Therapy with daddy this morning and we did lots of stretches.  We have to keep stretching and strengthening my neck.  Then I came home and napped and woke up to mommy! Mommy fed me and then told me we were going to Karson's house.  I was so happy.  We went to Karson's house and of course my boyfriend was sleeping.  He is always sleeping and I was ready to play.  Finally before we left he ate and then we stared at each other.  Karson smeiled at me a lot.  He is such a big boy.  For 3 months he is way bigger than me! That's ok- boys eat more than girls anyways.  He is so cute though.  Then I came home and napped and then did our usual night routine.  Mommy and I had a fashion show tonight.  She made me try on all these clothes to see if they fit.  Some did and some didn't.  I kind of stayed up late since I napped late but I was still a good girl.

Daddy is going dove hunting tomorrow so he let me try on his camo sunglasses.  They don't really match my outfit but they were cool.

Try new things Thursday

Today Brendon said that Olivia woke up super happy! He said she was moving all over her crib. Olivia tried green beans today. Brendon didn't have much luck this morning but I had some success tonight. Olivia didn't take much of a nap this afternoon- she only slept an hour. She ate 4 tablespoons of oatmeal plus the green beans- and she ate quite a bit of them. She was smacking her lips. I guess eating all those green beans while being pregnant paid off. We also did some sitting today and she tried to sit up during her bath tonight.

Waking up...what's up daddy??

Go Braves!!

Mommy stop being silly!

Wacky Wednesday

Today was a wacky day. Olivia had lots of spit up today. She is funny- some days she spits up a lot and sometimes nothing at all. Today was a spit up day- except at Gymboree! Olivia did great again at Gymboree. We played with flashlights today. It was fun! She cried at the end when I was changing her diaper and she decided to start peeing after I took the diaper off. Luckily she peed on the changing mat and her clothes. Thankfully I had a spare onesie in the diaper bag- what a relief! We did some practice sitting this afternoon and this evening. She is getting better but still a little top heavy! We are done with carrots- thank goodness- I don't really think she liked them. Tomorrow is green beans! The doctor already warned us that not many babies like green beans. So we will see. So far the favorites were squash and sweet potatoes.

Sitting and reaching.

Touchy Tuesday

Well Olivia has started to touch everything. She loves feeling the different textures. She also today started patting me. All of a sudden I noticed her repeatedly patting me. It was kind of funny. She is also playing lots on her tummy and grabbing her toys. She is able to pass them from hand to hand. It is so neat to see her concentrate and then do something. It is amazing to see her grow and change so much.

Hmm... ball or keys? By the way we think she is going to be a lefty... that is our prediction at least.

Monday, Monday

Not to much excitement today. Another day of fun with Olivia. Lots of scooting around and playing. We have found that the exersaucer is the thing to do while we eat dinner now. Olivia is able to entertain herself while we eat dinner. There is no fussing whatsoever. So that is our trick to peaceful dinners! Thank you Aunt Kara for that gift and the 20 minutes it gives us to eat dinner peacefully!

I tried to get some in action shots of her on her tummy and moving around... I tried to get them in sequential order...

Sunday = Family Time

Sunday is our favorite day. It is a time where we get to spend the whole day together. Olivia woke up around 7:45 after her 5:45 bottle. Since we woke her up 2 days last week for daycare this girl thinks we are going to get up everyday at that time. She will usually take a bottle and go back to bed for a little bit. We tried some carrots this morning and it went ok, but tonight she ate 3 tablespoons of oatmeal with the carrots and woofed it down. So we think she just not might the rice cereal.

We did lots of playing today and rolling around. Olivia was doing all these weird butt movements. We couldn't figure out what she was trying to do. Well finally she rolled from tummy to back. She only did it once- so we think it was a fluke, so we will wait and see if she does it tomorrow. We were going to go in the pool but something came up and we had to take a car ride and of course stop for ice cream to have with the apple pie I made today. It was the best apple pie I have ever made!! I am just so proud of my pie!

This is how Olivia was sleeping when we woke her up from her afternoon nap.

This is how far she scooted off her play mat today. Talk about Army Crawling!

This picture does not do this pie justice. If you would like the recipe it was in this month's Southern Living!
