Broken Camera =(

Grrr... Our camera is breaking! I guess because we take so many pictures.  I wish it could be something that could be fixed but there are little plastic pieces breaking off the camera itself by the battery compartment.  So that may be one reason why the pictures have been a little blurry- not enough contact from the batteries.  So I didn't even bother to take the camera to Gymboree today.  Plus at Gymboree it was a sliding day so it would have been hard to get pictures.  But we had fun.  It is funny to see Olivia's personality developing and see her interacting with other children.  After Gymboree we came home and had lunch, played, and Olivia napped.

Boring day

Today was kind of a boring day.  Nothing too exciting except Olivia is starting to move other things around by pushing them.  See the video coming shortly... We went to Emory today to have some tests done.  I don't just want to jump into all the details yet until we know more information.  Just know that we are ok and everything is fine.  But Olivia did good on the long car rides there and back and was pretty good during the appointment.  It is hard to contain a baby is a small space though.

Kindermusik

Olivia and I had our first Kindermusik class. Our friend Michelle, her husband and Nikki from Gymboree are also in the class.  It was a lot of fun.  When we first got to the class Olivia was all over... playing with books, blocks, and cars.  She was not afraid of the other children or to wander a little bit away from me.  I guess she isn't as shy as I thought.  The class was great.  We are learning about beats and rhythm.  I know that for children to be successful readers that learning how to keep a steady beat is crucial.  So it was great today to explore instruments, beats, and rhythms.  Kindermusik is not as busy as Gymboree.  We even got a take home bag that has drums, books, and cds to play at home! It was nice to relax, sing, and play with Olivia.  It was also nice to Michelle and Nikki.  We miss them! Also Olivia did pretty good in the car on the way home- I sang some songs and she only cried a tiny bit! I consider that to be a minor success!

New Foods

Today I tried some new food! I tried some toast and mommy made some sweet potatoes.  The sweet potatoes were SOOOO yummy.  I am doing a much better job at feeding myself.  My pincher grasp is starting to kick in and I am getting the food to my mouth.

My first time playing outside!

YAY! The sun has returned and it was so nice today.  It was so nice that mommy took me out in the swing.  I had so much fun.  I even giggled when mommy touched my feet in the swing.  Then after lunch mommy and I went for a walk.  We just walked our street.  I looked around at all the houses and nature.  After our walk mommy let me play in the driveway.  She brought out my stroller and puppy and I pushed it around the driveway.  It was a little hard at first but I got it towards the end.  I also saw my shadow today.

Rain, Rain Go Away

It was another rainy day.  It did stop raining in the afternoon but it was still a little gloomy.  We are hoping for some sun tomorrow and if it is nice I am going to take Olivia for a walk just to get her out of the house! Brendon said Olivia did a complete lap downstairs pushing her puppy and with some assistance steering from him.  Olivia ate some noodles today.  Brendon had Ziti for dinner and we gave her some plain noodles.  She put them in her mouth and ate them.  We left some noodles big and some cut up and she ate both! We also got her to sit in her little Adirondack chair and she actually put her feet down and put her arms on the chair next to her and stood up! It was a good transition- a few weeks ago she about fell out of it.  Nothing else too new today...just waiting for Mr. Sun to return!

Low Key Sunday

Today was a low key day.  It was still drizzly and yucky today.  Brendon wasn't feeling the greatest so we didn't go to church.  We just hung out at the house and read thew newspaper, Skyped with Grandma and Grandpa and watched some football.  Olivia was still a little fussy today when it came to drink her formula.  It took multiple tries and different locations to get her to drink it.  We are having the most luck with her high chair... it reclines! Also since she is strapped in she can't wiggle away.  She knows how to lock her lips like Fort Knox and swat your hand away.  It is taking a lot of patience to feed her.  Thankfully she is taking her solids good.  We took a video of her pushing her stroller it is below.  Hopefully we will see some sunshine tomorrow! We need it!
