Having a picky eater is frustrating. Since we started use John Rosemond's picky eater tips we have had some success! It was hard at first. But getting much better. This week she has tried many new foods and even had some stuff that she says she can't eat or doesn't like- for example pizza, chicken, and some vegetables like broccoli. This week she ate pork tenderloin, broccoli, tomato soup, green beans, and pizza! Meals have become better and not so frustrating. This morning she ate 2 pancakes and cantaloupe. First she said she couldn't eat the fruit but with some convincing she ate it all. Dinner was good too today- she ate grilled chicken, rice with carrots and broccoli, and acorn squash. Like his method says, when she finishes the initial amount she can have more of what she wants- tonight it was chicken! I have increased the amount of the dinner serving- the initial amount was one teaspoon of whatever is served...now I just scoop how much I think she will eat. I did give her a teaspoon of the acorn squash though, since this was the food she doesn't like. After the initial bite was in, she ate the rest! I have also found that smaller bites help. I think we may have been overwhelming her with the amount of food and the size. Since cutting things smaller it seems to help too. But so far it has been baby steps in the right direction of not being a picky eater anymore!
This week I am going to try spaghetti which she refuses to eat after loving it so much in the beginning! So wish me luck!
