Bike Race and St. Patty's Party

We had a busy Saturday.  It was sooooooo super nice out today.  So nice I wore shorts and flip flops!! Olivia wore shorts too! We went to see Brendon at his bike race.  It was windy again but still very warm but our popup tent couldn't handle the wind...RIP tent #2.  We stayed about an hour since we were sitting in the sun.  Olivia had lots of fun watching all the bicycles.  After we left we came home and changed for our St. Patty's party.  We quick ran to Stride Rite for some shoes...all of a sudden she has wanted to take her shoes off and not wear them...I think they were too small which they were.  IT was a disaster at the shoe store...lots of crying but the last pair I got on she stopped crying so they let her wear those right out of the store! Then we went to Emma's house.  We had such a fun time with our friends.  The kids got to play outside and had a fun time playing.  We tried several times to get a group picture...not much better than Valentine's Day!

Go Team Meat....3rd place!

Great Evening and Afternoon

Olivia and I had a great afternoon and evening tonight.  After school this afternoon we came home and played outside.  It was so nice.  We did chalk, bubbles, the slide and swing, and the sandbox.  Then we came in and got some water and relaxed.  Then we made pancakes for dinner.  Olivia ate 1 whole Mickey Mouse pancake! Then I had to go to my school's Relay for Life basketball game.  Olivia was a great helper while I worked the snacks.  After my duty was over we went and watched the game for a bit.  Olivia loved it.  She saw the players running and putting the ball in the hoop.  She loved clapping and cheering.  Then we came home and it was bath time.  She wanted to sit on the potty and had fun in the bathtub.  It was a great night... just a tad different then last night which was filled with tears!

Sneak Peak

I am very tired tonight... I literally burned the midnight oil last night and worked until almost midnight.  Grading papers and lesson plans...the fun and joy of a teacher.  Even though I do enjoy my job...all I wanted to do was go to bed.  So I thought tonight I would post some sneak peaks of Olivia's 2 year old pictures.  Thank you to Lizzie Lemoine Photography for doing such a fabulous job with Olivia! I will post more when I get the rest!

Early Presents!

We got an early delivery of birthday presents today for Olivia.  Thank you so much Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Bob, Mema and Pepa! Olivia was so excited when I opened the box.  She did a great job at ripping the paper.  She said the clothes were pretty and was super excited about the Winnie the Pooh kite and underwear.  I think she is going to be so excited at her birthday party to open presents.  I keep telling her all about her birthday and she seems to understand it...I think...well I hope.  I can't believe it is next week already!! Ahhh!!!

Yuck!

Well this day was uneventful until our car ride home from Susan's house today.  Olivia was super happy and chatty this morning before I dropped her off.  When I picked her up from Susan's she was just as happy.  She was chatting away on the ride home and we stopped for gas.  After I got gas...it is literally a 4 minute or less ride home, she was talking away and then all of a sudden stopped talking.  She literally just said, "I see school bus....." and it trailed off and I heard a weird noise.  I called her name a few times and she didn't respond...so I pulled over in someone's yard/driveway and ran out of the truck and saw she threw up.  A million thoughts ran through my head running around that truck. Yuck! I hate car throw up!! I tried to clean her up as best as I could (thankfully I was stocked with paper towels from the last time). She freaked out since she threw up on Lamby...she was more upset about Lamby than throwing up.  I called Brendon (Thank God he was home) and warned him about what happened.  I literally took her out of car and stripped her out of her clothes and Brendon worked on the car seat.  She was still upset about Lamby and tried to tell her that Lamby needed a bath too while she got a bath.  Finally got her all calmed down and relaxed.  An episode of Super Why and some snack and she was fine.  She ate a snack, ate a little dinner, and ate a snack before bed and she was fine. A little clingy but no fever and no more throw up....so I hope she is ok!

Fun day with mommy

Today was a furlough day for me from work.  Not so fun in one aspect but fun to spend time with Olivia.  Brendon had some training today so it was just Olivia and I most of the day.  We got up around 8, ate breakfast, and got ready for Gymboree.  We went to Gymboree and saw Raegan and her mommy and had fun.  We walked around the mall just a bit but then came home for lunch.  Olivia ate her favorite...Chicken Noodle Soup.  Then she napped.  While she napped I got some laundry and cleaning done.  Then she woke up shortly after Brendon got home.  She ate her snack and then we did a little bit of painting.  I tried to make some shamrocks...not sure how good they look...but we tried! then we ate dinner...tonight we tried raviolis.  It went ok but she does not want to sit in her chair! Grrr.... BUT we did get her to sit on the potty seat tonight! We told her she could put a sticker on her potty chart if she sat on the potty.  It seemed to work...not sure if she went but we at least got her back sitting on the potty.  Also lately she has been telling us, "I'm peeing" or "Livy peeing" so now she at least is starting to know the feeling. But such a fun day with her and it was nice having Brendon home for dinner!

Another beautiful day

It was another beautiful but busy day.  We got up early and went to church.  Then came home and had lunch and then zoomed out again.  We took Olivia to get her 2 year old pictures done.  I think we got some smiles and cute ones.  She cried just a bit but with a bit of support we took lots of pictures!

We came home and Olivia saw the neighbors out on the porch.  So we took a walk to visit them for a bit.  Jake and Max played in the yard and Olivia thought they were so funny.  Then it was nap time.  Olivia napped, I went and ran, and Brendon made another batch of brew.

After nap and snack we played outside more.  Olivia went on her slide and swing, pushed her lawnmower, and we did chalk.  She had chalk ALL OVER.  It was on her face, hands, and legs.  It was so cute though! Then she played in the sandbox while Brendon grilled some chicken.

After dinner we played with the balloons.  Give an almost 2 year old some balloons and they are quite happy for awhile.

Playing in the sandbox with chalk all over her face!
