Bear Butt and Another Loss

This morning it was a little chilly so Olivia had to wear some pants.  We took her to Chic-Fil-A for our free chicken biscuit and she was so good.  She sat on my lap while I ate and looked around the restaurant, drooled, and played with napkins.  It was a nice Saturday morning.

This afternoon we watched UGA lose again.  I was feeding Olivia her bedtime bottle when the game was ending.  I guess I shouldn't have taken her out of her UGA onesie... mental note for next week.

Figuring things out

Today was a day that Olivia figured some things out.  Here is what she did:

1. She figured out if you the press the smiley face on her book that it lights up and talks to her.

2. Rolling over from her tummy to back in the crib- she did it twice today!

3. When she stood up tonight that you can lift your feet up and down.

4. When she is on her tummy that if she lifts her bum up it will cause her to move some way.

5. Rolling over on the bathroom rug while waiting for her bath and after her bath.

6. That she can use both hands to touch things and move them with her hands and feet.

A big day today!!

Kicking and Scooting

I have really started to kick lately.  Yesterday and today I really enjoyed kicking in my crib when it is nap time.  Mommy and Daddy thought it was Jake upstairs.  But it is me kicking in my crib! I also like to kick in the bathtub.  I gave mom a little soaking tonight.

Today was fun.  Daddy took me to a consignment sale this morning.  We got some toys and some clothes.  We now have a Christmas outfit- so NO Christmas outfit needed Grandma! After we got home I took some rest time but no nap.  Mommy fed me and played with me and finally I took a nap.  I did some good tummy time- I was scooting all over! When I woke up I ate again and then Mommy put me in the car. We went back to the sale.  Mommy wanted to check it out too! She bought me some cool toys and some jeans, a dress, and a cute outfit.  After that since it was so nice outside Mommy took me for a walk.  It was so much fun in the stroller and then I talked in the car all the way home and I kept on talking until I took my bath and had fun laughing.

Thing 1 and Thing 2

Today I wore my Dr. Seuss outfit.  Mommy finally washed all of my 6 month clothes yesterday so now I have a bunch of new outfits.  She knew she needed to wash them because I literally busted out of my onesie on Monday- I busted the snap.  So mommy put a lot of my clothes away and took out some new stuff.  It took her a long time to cut all the tags, wash the clothes, dry them, and put them away or hang them up.  Mommy was so thankful to Grandma and Aunt Cheryl because they did all that work for my 0-3 clothes.

Mommy thought I wasn't going to have a good night last night with my tummy troubles.  I woke up about an hour after I went to sleep screaming and crying.  Thankfully mommy rocked me and I went back to sleep and didn't wake up until this morning.  I felt a little better today but Mommy and Daddy were still worried.  I wasn't the best eater today.  But I did go to Gymboree and had so much fun.  There was no crying again, even when we did the parachute at the end.

No Peas for Me!

Today we tried peas...well it gave Olivia a bit of a stomach ache.  We had lots of diaper changes today and poor Olivia's bum- it just has to hurt- sorry TMI.  I called the pediatrician twice this afternoon.  The nurse said no more peas...give it a month and try again.  So I took her temp and it was 99.2 and the nurse said not to worry unless it was 100.5.  She said we could feed her food that we have already given her and try something new in a few days.  Hopefully her tummy ache will go away.  She ate fine the rest of the day and night though, taking her formula and oatmeal with green beans.  Also today Kristy came and babysat while I went back to school for a faculty meeting.  My plan was to put Olivia down for a nap before she got here.  Well... she was kinda fussy and finally fell asleep but only slept for like an hour.  Thankfully when she woke up she was super happy for Kristy and they had a great time playing.  Finally she is getting over the stranger danger with people. 

I don't want to practice sitting...I just want to eat my feet!

Labor Day = Rainy Day

Today was an off and on rainy day.  Olivia woke up about 7:00ish, ate and went back to sleep.  I went and woke her up at 8:30 and she was so happy.  She was a happy little camper through breakfast and she tried some bananas again.  Then she didn't want to nap again.  She took about a 45 minute snooze this morning.  Then after that she was happy then cranky and that kind of cycle happened all afternoon.  Finally about 2:00 she took a bottle and finally took a decent 2 hour nap.  While she napped- I napped and Brendon watched a movie.  Then she woke up and the cycle of happy and cranky continued.  We are not sure if she is teething or what but everything is going in her mouth, drooling is out of control, and she has been touching her ears a little bit.  So we will see.  We read some books tonight too.  She loves to look at the pictures and I think she is listening- sometimes she smiles when I read the words.

Super Sunday

Today was super Sunday.  I slept until about 7:15 and then we went to church.  I was so good at church.  I even received some compliments on how good I was.  When we got home I didn't want to nap.  So I stayed awake while mommy and daddy ate breakfast.  Then finally I took a nap around 12:30.  When I woke up there was some company at our house.  Our neighbors the Korems were over.  I had so much fun with them- so much fun that I didn't take my second nap. I was a pretty good girl while they were here and I played with Kristy and Karyn.  I only got fussy towards the end.  Mommy and Daddy asked Karyn and Rick if they would be my Godparents and they said YES! We are so happy that they will be Olivia's godparents!! So my parents have the job of scheduling my baptism soon.  After they left I tried to Skype with Grandma and Aunt Cheryl but I was a little fussy.  So mommy gave me my bath- and I cried almost the whole time getting my bath and I was so tired I fell asleep taking my bedtime bottle.  I guess I am not a big enough girl to skip naps yet.  But I had such a fun Sunday!
