Today was Griffin's Baptism! We are so happy and blessed to be his Godparents! It was a beautiful ceremony at his church. Olivia and Griffin were a little silly at times during the ceremony and even shared a snack. After the church we went back to Griffin's house for lunch. We had a good time with such good food and cake!! Such a blessed and beautiful day!
When we get some more pictures with us in them we will post them!
Last night Olivia earned a reward for pooping on the potty. She kept holding the wipe box that has Finding Nemo on it. So I told her if she put poop in the potty we could watch the movie. We tried several times and finally I left her alone for a few minutes and she went! She even said her poop looked like a hot dog! Funny girl!
So we watched the movie tonight. To her some parts were scary but if she sat with me I told her what was happening and she enjoyed it. We even ate dinner during the movie...so it was dinner and a movie night! So fun!
It was so nice out this afternoon. After Olivia's LONG rest we went outside. She got some Minnie Mouse bubbles for Valentine's Day so we just had to try them out. We had so much fun blowing bubbles! Such a gorgeous day and so much fun!
Yesterday's theme seemed to be tired and weary. Everywhere I went I heard it yesterday. At school...we were tired and weary and I feel it. I guess having 4 days off and being thrown back in...it makes you tired...really tired. Then I read several blog postings by others about being tired, weary, and finding hope when you feel none is left. Basically I was tired and weary last night and went to bed after a long day. I am falling asleep hard at night but then I wake up and can't fall asleep. Last night I had a dream that my feet were being constricted by something...needless to say I ripped off my socks! Hoping for good rest tonight.
Today we did get a little break at work to work on stuff...whatever stuff you needed to get done. It was a very productive time and worked hard to get some stuff done but I always feel I am never done, there is always a to do list. But when I got home Olivia was playing outside and having fun. Then we came inside and had lunch. Then Olivia wanted to read under the table. Then after rest time we had dance class. It went much better today. I think waking her up an hour before we leave is the key so then she won't be crabby. When I peaked through the window she had a tutu on and was doing jumps! so cute!
Today was tough...Olivia did not want to listen to anything. She woke up crabby...she forgot she put Lamby in her Lamby's bed and woke up upset because she couldn't find her....then she wouldn't go potty and it went downhill from there. Even after lunch...and dinner. But once she pooped tonight (thank goodness before gymnastics!!) then she was fine! Tomorrow is a new day to start over...thank goodness because even school was a little crazy too today!
Brendon and her started our seeds for the garden today. It was a nice sunny day to start them in the planters to stay inside for a few weeks before they go in the real garden.
Olivia did good at gymnastics. She jumped on the trampoline by herself and her teacher had them jump and then land on their bums.... didn't bother her one bit. She mostly followed her teacher's directions tonight and we did the bars tonight and I was so proud that she swung her legs all the way up to the bars- so she was holding the bars with her hands and feet! She did it twice on her own but then got tired so I helped!
Here she is doing some somersaults (forward rolls):
Olivia and Brendon did the Great Backyard Bird Count today. Olivia loved looking through the binoculars and looking for birds. They had a great time and saw some doves, a hawk, a cardinal, thrasher, and a few other birds. It was really nice outside today and got to wear some shorts. So this week we had- rain, ice, snow, a minor earthquake, and 60 degrees! All in one week!
