Nursery Update

We got a good start on the nursery the past 2 weeks. We probably would have had all the furniture assembled except we had a snafu with that. JcPenney's decided to send us 2 cribs instead of a chest dresser. We are not very happy with this and the customer service of the store! Hopefully we will get this issue resolved soon.

Here are some pictures of the nursery so far...

Merry Christmas

We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas. We are very blessed and thankful for what we have received this year. Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas. We have crossed the 24 week mark and are 6 months and a few days. Melissa feels huge and you can definitely tell that she is "showing and glowing."

The start of the nursery!

We started working on the nursery today and got one coat of paint down. It is going to look so good once it is done! But here are pictures of the first coat.

Yes we know it is blue and yes we are know that we are having a girl. But when you have blue carpet and blue walls there isn't much you can do with that. If you scroll down the bedding looks fabulous with this color of wall. For some reason it uploaded the pictures backwards....

Before...ugh... goodbye ugly gray paint!

Shake, Rattle, and Roll

Today we went to visit the doctor for a checkup at 22 weeks 5 days. We needed to get a picture of her face since we didn't get one on the date we had the anatomy scan. Olivia was moving all over. She was rolling all over the place. Thankfully we got a pretty good face shot and lots of other good pictures of her. We heard a nice heartbeat and saw her little heart beating at about 136 bpm. Olivia looks like she will be pretty active with those long legs. Enjoy the pictures!

Santa Came Early

Coming home from work was so exciting yesterday. After a LONG day at work and some nasty weather yesterday, Santa surprised me with a Glider! I was so excited that I sat in it last night and enjoyed some quiet rocking time! This might be my new favorite spot.

Also we put our Christmas Tree on Sunday! Someone is already excited and is waiting for his stocking to be filled by Santa and Mrs. Claus!

The Nursery

Here is what the nursery will look like. Here is a picture of the bedding- we are stuck with some form of blue because the carpet in the room is blue and the vertical blinds in the room are blue also. But the bedding is really cute and it came this week! The crib color is called Espresso but it is NOT the color that the pictures have- it is a dark, dark brown. Nothing is assembled yet but when the room is complete pictures will be posted! We have pretty much cleaned out the room and just have a few things left that need to be moved and have to pick out some paint.

Happy Thanksgiving

We are so thankful for all the wonderful people that are in our life! We couldn't have made it on this journey without all your love, support, and encouragement. Here are some pictures from the big day. For some odd reason- I really popped out for some reason. I guess Olivia wanted to show that she was like a turkey- I just think it was the shirt that made me look huge! So here is the bump shot that everyone has wanted to see... I guess I should have put on some makeup! Jake also loves Thanksgiving and got all prepared for his plate of turkey! Yes, Jake sits at the table... he loves it... as you can tell!!

It's a girl!

Melissa went to the doctor today for the 20 week anatomy scan. On Thanksgiving we will be exactly 20 weeks (Half way there! Yipee!) Well, definitely 100% it is a girl. We are going to name her Olivia Caroline. Everything looked great- she got to see the heart, lungs, fingers and toes, and her head was measured. Olivia just did not want to cooperate and turn around. She must be shy and didn't want her picture taken. They couldn't get her to turn so we did not get a face shot today. Melissa has to go back in 3 weeks for Olivia to hopefully show her face!

It may be a girl.....

Went to the doctor on November 12th and just over 18 weeks. We were hoping to get a sneak peek and that we did. Ultrasound tech said we have a 95% chance that it is a girl. We are both very happy and will find out for sure on November 24th.
