We survived

We survived the first week of Pre K and school.  We are tired...everyone is moving slower today...but Olivia LOVES school and her teacher! She tells me all about her day and brings home "surprises" every day! The morning and after care is not her or my favorite part of the day.  She told me that she doesn't know the teachers' names in the afternoon and she is afraid to ask them to go to the restroom...we have had 2 incidents that as soon as I get there she has to go potty or as soon as we get in the car... but overall it is going well!

My class is so sweet and they are just precious...I am just tired too...lots of work the 1st couple weeks!

Here's to happy week 2! =)

A little rewind

Doing a quick little rewind over the past few weeks!

Olivia met her summer reading goal! We had lots of visiting the library and getting lots of books!

We were so blessed and thankful last week when I went back to work for pre-planning to have my parents here to help with Olivia, laundry, and cooking!

We had some fun!

First Day of Pre K

Today was a big day.  Olivia started Pre K.  I admit I was nervous.  We have been building her up for weeks about it.  At times she seemed at excited and other times not.  But today she was a little slow to wake up but then she was fine.  It was like we hadn't left our routine for 2 months.  When I dropped her off, we found her cubby, and emptied her things.  Then she goes for some more before care because her class starts later than when we are able to drop her off.  She seemed a little shy at first then we had a big hug and then she seemed fine.  No tears! I expected a call all day...but her teacher said she was a pro, I on the other hand was not.  I was proud that she earned her sticker for the day and was happy when I picked her up!

I prayed last night she would be ok and loved her teacher and school.  I know she is 4, but I want her to LOVE school.  I want her to soak up every minute of learning and growing while she is there.  We are blessed to have a great school for her to do just that.

Before we left home!

School!

Her 1st day creation!

If I could write her a lunch box note it would be this:

Dear Olivia,
Today is your first day of school! Mommy and daddy are so proud of you every day and every moment! Make sure to make new friends, laugh, and love every minute of school.  Make every moment count and listen and love your teacher.  We can't believe how fast you are growing up! We love you to the moon and back!
