Olivia clapping at G-Day Game UGA

Olivia Checking out the Hedges at UGA

G-Day

Today we went on another adventure.  This morning I had to work at my school's Rocketfest.  It was a very fun but long 3 hours in the sun.  It was so neat to see all the students and their rockets fly!

After that Brendon picked me up from school and off to Athens we went.  Today was G-Day.  It was the UGA Bulldogs spring practice game.  We got there and parked over by the tennis courts and had a nice walk to Sanford Stadium.  We got there after the game started but that was ok.  We found a seat in the shade and enjoyed 2 quarters and half time.  Olivia was soooo good.  She sat on our laps, she ate snacks and drank milk.  She was such a trooper without her afternoon nap.  We even got to see a real Bulldog!

I am so happy that we got to take Olivia to these 2 places.  I am getting a lot less anxious about taking her places.  It is getting easier to take her places.

Olivia chugging milk at the Braves game

Olivia at her first Braves Game!

Braves Home Opener

One of our traditions is to go to the Braves home opener every year.  It has rained, hailed, been super cold, or sweating hot but we brave the elements to go.  Last year was one of the only years we didn't go because Olivia was born.  So this year we were determined to go.

We mapped out a plan of eating and what to bring.  We brought a very small diaper bag- the free Similac one that is an over the shoulder.  The car ride there was long but I sat in the back seat with her and kept her entertained and she even ate some applesauce on the way.

We arrived at the game right when they were singing the Star Spangled Banner. Boy was it crowded.  I even got paranoid about people bumping into us.  Our seats were on the end which was perfect in case we needed to get up.  The lines for everything were SO LONG- food, bathroom, adult beverages.  I felt bad for some people because they were gone for so long! I tried to go to the bathroom once but the line was so long I waited.  Then by that time Olivia had to be changed.  I opted to go to the family bathroom since I thought the line would be shorter.  Well all the people that were in line for the family bathroom were young females (I would say about early 20s).  They didn't even bat an eye at me when I joined the line with a child.  Then another mom got in line behind me with her son.  I was waiting patiently and then the girl in front of me turned around and suggested I tell the females at the front that I should go in front of them.  I did not want to do that because I didn't want to upset anyone.  So she volunteered to do it.  Actually with a little rudeness they let me and the mom behind me go before them.  I didn't want the other mom to be hassled so I told her to just come in with me.  So that is how all that went down.  When I left the restroom I thanked the girls but they must not have heard me because I got some loud and rude, "Your welcomes!!" as I walked away.

Other than that and the guy screaming behind us the game was great.  Olivia LOVED looking around.  We even almost caught a home run ball.  Ok- I covered Olivia up as Brendon tried to get the ball.  But it was pretty close to us.  We stayed to the end of the 5th inning.  That was a very long inning and then Olivia was getting restless. So I knew it was time to go.

The night turned out much better than we thought.  We didn't even spend any money! The lines were too long for everything so we just saved our patience and money! Olivia drank milk at the game and on the way home had some puffs and stayed awake the whole ride home.  She drank some more milk before bed and zonked right out.  Such a fun family tradition!

A Walk in the Park

This morning Grandma and Grandpa watched me! I had so much fun!! After mommy came home from work I ate lunch and then we went to Tribble Mill Park.  We went for a walk and then I got to play on the playground.  I went on the swings and down the slide.  I even got to see some ducks up close.  After the park we went to Publix to get some milk.  When we got home I did NOT want to take a nap.  But I did want to eat like a horse.  Mommy fed me cheese and crackers, then grandma was baking and I got some whip cream! I drank my milk and we thought we were going to go out for pizza.  Daddy called on his way home and he had already been in the car for an hour and was only at Stone Mountain.  We decided instead of going out for pizza that daddy would pick some up on the way home.  I couldn't wait for the pizza so I had pasta and veggies.  I was such a little oinker today!  But mommy wants me to eat so I did today.  Poor daddy was so tired when he got home.  He was in the car for 3+ hours today driving to and from work.  He was so happy to see me though.  I learned today that Atlanta traffic stinks!! I drank all my milk before bed and fell right asleep!  I had another fun day though even without the nap- I just don't want to miss out on all the fun!

XOXO

First Pair of Shoes

Whoa we had a busy day today!!  Grandma, mommy and I went to Gymboree this morning.  I did really good at Gymboree and didn't cry.  After Gymboree we went to the Avenue at Webb Ginn.  We went to Stride Rite and I got my first pair of shoes!! I was such a good girl while the store employee measured my feet and put them on my feet.  I walked a bit in the store but I am going to have to get used to my new shoes. We then went to Carters and got some new clothes.  Grandma was happy because they gave us a Grandparents discount today! Wahoo!!  Then we came home and I ate lunch.  Then we got back into the car and went to Sonic.  Grandpa loves the Chicago Dogs there.  But boy was it windy there.  After that we went to Pep Boys so daddy could get some flooring for his man cave.  Then we came home and napped.  I was not a happy camper after my nap! I had some milk and that seemed to help a bit.  But then I ate a super dinner.  I even was allowed to have more cake.  I then helped mom and grandma fold the laundry! I am such a great helper!

XOXO
