Pool Party

Today we had our 2nd annual pool party! It was nice and sunny all day and then of course when it was time to party the clouds came.  While we were swimming it then decided to rain.  It is ok...we still had fun! Brendon smoked 2 pork butts and 2 chickens.  They were soooo yummy!! We had lots of good desserts too- cake, cobbler, ice cream, cream puffs, brownies....so yummy!

Friday Blahs....

Mema and Pepa snuck out this morning to go see Aunt Kara and her family.  Olivia kept asking where they went! I explained to her that they went to go see Aunt Kara and that they would be back in a few days.  She seemed ok with that answer.

After a few attempts of pooping on the potty this morning...she pooped in her pants.  It was a hot mess...so gross! But she went.  When we were at the doctor yesterday she suggested to start some Miralax with her.  Well I didn't even give it to her yet since she went today. 

Olivia and I ran to the store for some items for our pool party tomorrow and she was pretty good. 

We had lunch and then a disaster of brushing her teeth and taking a nap.  She did the same thing last night.  She refused to brush her teeth and got really upset when I brushed them.  I mean like screaming and crying.  I have never heard her scream like this.  Well she did it again at nap time and then bedtime tonight.  I am hoping this is all because we went on vacation but boy oh boy...sweet little Olivia turns into a different child.  The screaming is horrible!! I hope this goes away.  This too shall pass.  And to top it off tonight...she had like a million accidents tonight...a million no...but like 4 or 5...one poop and like 4 pee pee accidents.  Yesterday she did great and wore the same underwear, and today not so much!

Gwinnett Braves Game

We started off Thursday with a long wait at the pediatrician's office.  Olivia had yucky eyes the whole time in New York.  I had drops but they didn't seem to be working. So we spent the better part of the morning at the doctor's office.  But we got some wipes to try first and then some drops if it isn't any better. 

At night we went to the Gwinnett Braves Game.  It was a gorgeous night.  It was a good game too.  Olivia was much more interested in the game this time!

Surprise Trip to New York

Sorry to take a hiatus...we took a surprise trip to New York to surprise my mom for her retirement.

That night we went to a party for her at her friends Tom and Rose's house.  We had a great time and Mema got to show off Olivia.  There was so much delicious food and yummy cake!

Then on Sunday we had a party at my Aunt Jackie's house.  It was really warm so we went swimming.  Olivia did a great job in her pool and loved the squids that Aunt Jackie bought.  We had lots of yummy food- chowder and pulled pork.  And in our family's tradition a TON of desserts- cakes, pies, fruit....you name it!

On Monday my mom had to go to work one last time... here she is leaving!

While she was at work we went to Gratwick park and played on the playground.  Then mom met us for a delicious lunch at Mississippi Mudds.  Of course we got ice cream...with sprinkles! That night Mom and Bill babysat for us so we could go out and have a date and see our friends.  It was a fun night.

On Tuesday we decided to go down to Niagara Falls.  We walked around, rode the trolley, and saw the American and Horseshoe Falls.  We had a picnic lunch before we left.  Tuesday night we met my brother and his family for dinner and relaxed and got packed.

On Wednesday we got packed for the airport and zoomed home!  It was good to sleep in our own beds again!
