Tornado Warning!

Ahhh... last night was crazy! There were really severe storms all over Atlanta.  It was kind of like this last April after Olivia was born and we were so nervous about storms that we bought a weather alert radio.  It came in handy last night. Sometime after 1:00 it went off for a thunder storm warning and then it went off again and this time for a Tornado warning.  Just to double check I turned the tv back on and it said it was 4 minutes from our city! Ahhh!! Quickly texted our neighbors to take cover! So I scooped up Olivia and we all went into the bathroom downstairs.  We left the tv on to listen to the news and so we knew when it was over! So that was last night! We were all a little tired this morning!

But this morning it was raining and then it cleared but was breezy and colder than yesterday.  We went for a walk on our street and stopped by to see one of our neighbors Susan who is moving.  It was great to see her and she just loves Olivia! We then played in the driveway a little bit.

Then it was family nap time- we were all tired from last night!

We tried 5:00 church tonight.  We just feel that we can't find the right church service. 9:30 which we have been going is kind of crazy with Olivia's schedule but it is the children's mass with lots of babies and kids.  8:00 which Brendon went to was alright but it was mostly a crowd that does not tolerate babies too well like tonight (well at least that was the feeling I got). Hopefully once we go off formula we will have a more tolerable schedule for church. 

Other than all that fun and excitement it was a pretty normal day!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Today is Dr. Seuss' birthday! We celebrated tonight by reading part of the Cat in the Hat. 
Today it was a little gloomy but warm.  Right now I have the television on watching all the severe storm coverage.  I hate a scary stormy night.  I took Olivia to the toddler park in downtown Loganville, since we didn't make the reading event at the library because my grocery shopping took too long.  We called our friend Nicole and she met us at the park too.  Her mommy wasn't feeling to well but the fresh air made us all feel good!

We also stopped at Raegan's house and she is letting us borrow some decorations for Olivia's birthday party! I also ordered Olivia's cake today for her party! I couldn't believe I was ordering a cake for her birthday! I almost got a little teary after I ordered it.  Hopefully it will be cute!

Alright time to hunker down for these storms.  Yikes!

Can't believe it is March already! I told Brendon this morning- 20 days until Olivia's birthday! That is wild and crazy to me! March came in like a lion last night with some storms but nothing too bad for us!  It was beautiful today.  We had some playtime in the driveway and Olivia pushed one of her toys all the way to the top of the driveway and onto the street.  We stayed on the street for about a minute and then I carried her and the toy all the way back down the driveway! Olivia took a good nap this afternoon and we went to kindermusik and had lots of fun.  She even tapped her rhythm sticks together tonight!

Leap Year, Hobby Lobby, and Pizza!

Today is leap day! One extra day with Olivia! Since she did not nap yesterday afternoon I thought, why not take her out today after lunch to see if that would tire her out.  We went to Hobby Lobby to look for birthday stuff.  Hobby Lobby is such a magical place.  Who doesn't love crafty stuff, decorations, scrap booking stuff all in one place! Thankfully they have tiny shopping carts so that was good and we stuck to our list! Olivia did great at the store. She only touched one thing- an Elmo cake pan sign.  But she loved riding in the cart and looking all around.  After we got home she went down for a good nap! I was so happy for that! Then for dinner she tried pizza- not real pizza but a healthy pizza.  My friend Lauren fed it to her son Griffin and he loved it.  It was easy a whole wheat tortilla, tomato sauce, and cheese.  I baked it for 9 minutes and voila- pizza! I even made one for myself for dinner. So I let it cool, gave her some carrots and then she tried it.  At first she spit it out but after a few bites she started gobbling it up! The cheese is kinda hard for her because she only has the front 2 teeth but she is chewing though! After dinner we played upstairs with the lion and she was laughing like I have never seen her laugh! It was so cute.  I was pretending to chase her and she loved it and even Jake wanted in on it too! Those giggles just make my heart smile!

Giggles, no nap, and fork!

I had a lot of giggles today.  When mommy came home I kept laughing.  I laughed when I walked with my lion (see the 2 videos).  But then I didn't want to take a nap.  I think mommy wanted to take a nap too because she is tired from parent-teacher conferences.  I am sorry mommy! So mommy and I had a really long afternoon.  Mommy was running out of ideas of things to do.  We played with everything two or three times.  I did rock a little with mommy in the recliner just to relax.  Then ate really good at dinner- I ate turkey potpie.  So good mommy let me try the fork by myself! Mommy was surprised I was so good.  She would put the food on the fork and then I would put it in my mouth! I even did it with my right hand.  Mommy said she was really proud of me!

Not a lot of time with mommy!

Mommy had parent-teacher conferences today.  So it was daddy and me day! Daddy took me to Gymboree today all by himself! He did such a good job!! I missed mommy though and fussed a little with dad and didn't want to take a nap this afternoon.  Mommy was so happy when she got home to see me and I was happy to see her! I missed her! Mommy was sad that she did not get a lot of time with me today.  But we played and read the farm book.  I also tried to help mommy put away all the new clothes she got for me at the sale yesterday! I just wanted to throw around the hangers! Can't wait to spend time with mommy and daddy tomorrow!!

Sunday

Today I woke up and daddy took me to church right after breakfast.  Mommy did not come because she had plans with Malissa and Dawn to go to another consignment sale.  They did good.  Mommy got me lots of clothes, a farm, and some toys! Mommy will take pictures of her goodies tomorrow! Then I played with mommy while daddy went on a bike ride.  We had fun.  Not much new today,  Mommy is teaching me animal sounds- I can kind of moo and roar like a lion!
