Well, we started some swim lessons again after camping. The first week didn't go so hot. Olivia cried during the lessons, forgot to plug her nose and keep her mouth closed. It was pretty miserable for her and me. Then we took more than a week off and went to NY and came back. Before we went to swim lessons, we swam in out pool and it was like a total different swimmer! We got her to jump in and go under water. Once we invested in a nose plug...she was much better. So thank you $2.99 nose plug for making her a great swimmer!! We went back to lessons for a whole week and Ms. Dawn was like, who is this kid?? She was jumping in, getting rings off the bottom of the pool, swimming underwater and not one tear!! Praise the Lord...she is our little mermaid now! I knew in her own time she would love swimming and that's the thing...we let her do it on her own time and comfort level.
This year for Memorial Day we went camping. We tried a new place. Calhoun Falls State Park. It is in South Carolina. We had a little bit of a GPS direction problem on the way there that took us to a dam. After some no cell service on 2 phones we finally got service and we were about 10 minutes away from the state park. The state park wasn't too far from the city of Calhoun Falls but there wasn't much to the city. There were a lot of buzzing bugs this trip. We took one hike on a nature trail that I couldn't wait to get off of. Too many buzzing bugs! We had a great time and tried a few new recipes! We rode out a pretty bad storm one day and loved swimming at the beach on the lake. Good times!
