Mommy and Me Ballet

Olivia and I went to our first Mommy and Me Ballet class today.  I have been telling her about it for a few weeks and she was not too keen on the idea.  But once we got her shoes and the leotard I think she was more excited about it.  I was impressed that she willingly got dressed today in the dance outfit and was excited to go.  She was a bit shy at first during the stretching part but once we started moving around she was fine.  She loved walking to the bars and doing an arabesque! The best was at the end she got a Cinderella sticker from the teacher.  I am so happy that she liked it.  We have 6 weeks of classes so hopefully she will keep liking it!

Then we came home and had lunch.  Brendon and Olivia went swimming...too chilly for me. Then it was nap time.  Then we watched the Georgia game.  Some of my favorite quotes were, "Is that a touchdown?" "How about them Dawgs!" and "Daddy, say Go Georgia Bulldogs!"

A Prayer and Struggling

I had to have another blood draw today since my level came back at 23 on Wednesday.  I said a prayer for it to be zero.  Most people don't pray for a zero (on anything) but I did today.  I would really like my body to go back to normal. Plus my arms are hurting.  It almost feels like I have carpel tunnel (which I hope I don't).  But both arms from the elbow down to the wrist are sore.  It feels like I have pulled muscles and my wrists are aching.  I hope this too shall pass.

I am also tired of sitting at the doctor's office seeing lots of people filled with the excitement of babies. There are husbands and sometimes entire families with women that are pregnant.  I know that they don't know or understand (or maybe they do) what I am going through and even some other women are going through,  but it just stinks sitting there.  I told myself today that I was not going to cry when I left the office and I did do that even though it was a struggle.  Struggling is just part of life.  If we were always given what we wanted, we would never learn any lessons about life and ourselves.

Quiet Realizations

The other night at dinner Olivia and I were actually having a conversation.  I can't remember exactly what about but we were talking back and forth.  I realized at that moment how much life has changed over the past 2  years and how this house is rarely quiet anymore.  For years at night it was mostly Jake and I.  Trust me there is only so much talking you can have with a dog but this house was quiet.  Now this house is full of noise all the time and I can't imagine having dinners now with Olivia and not talking. It is funny how life changes and you realize things.

Olivia and I had another great day.  She had a really good day with Susan and even went poop on the potty at her house!! Wahoo!! She also kept her Cinderella underwear dry! I may just be buying Cinderella underwear from now until forever since she has been accident free since wearing them! Olivia also had lots of fun at Kindermusik tonight.  She even ate all her dinner and earned herself some ice cream! Another great day!!

Happy Girl and Good Day

We had a really good day today.  Even Olivia thought so! She said in the car on the way to Gymboree...I am a happy girl and before bed she said, "We had a good day today!"

Love her so much! Sorry this is short...busy with school stuff tonight!

When it is quiet and Cinderella

You know that saying when it is quiet something is going on...so true.  I stepped into the kitchen for a few minutes....and viola...came back to bucket head! What a silly girl.

So Olivia's new obsession is Cinderella.  On Friday since I was feeling pretty crappy but Olivia did good going potty I treated her to her first movie Cinderella.  We watched Cinderella and had pancakes for dinner.  Who doesn't want to watch a movie where dreams come true when they are feeling pretty down in the dumps?!?!?  But Olivia loved it.  Then we discovered my Cinderella book from when I was little...loves it.  Then when we were at Target Olivia spotted Cinderella underwear...had to have them! Guess what underwear she is wearing tonight...Cinderella! Hopefully she will keep them clean and dry! But I have to laugh about what she says about the movie- the sisters ripped her dress, big castle, Cinderella is sad, Cinderlla's pretty dress! Gotta love her!!

Bear Hollow Zoo

Today we went with some of our friends to the Bear Hollow Zoo in Athens.  We had such a fun time.  It was perfect.  Not too many people, not that long to walk and around, and Olivia could practically walk on her own.  After we saw the animals we went to the playground at Memorial Park.  The girls had fun and then it was lunch time.  We did a picnic at the park.  After lunch we fed the ducks and walked by the lake a bit.  We had such a fun time and the best part of all it is FREE!!

Go Dawgs, Jake's Bath, and a Big Boom

Yesterday I went for a fun.  Even though it was quite humid I got a run in and time to clear my head a bit.  Then Olivia and I went to Target and Walgreens for a few things.  Then we came home and had lunch with Brendon.  Olivia and Brendon did some swimming and I ran to Hobby Lobby for some owl decor for her bedroom.  We had a good dinner and then it was time for the Dawgs.  Olivia watched just about the 1st quarter and then we put her to bed.  She gave me a fit in the morning about putting the Dawgs shirt on in the morning but she did wear it the rest of the day until bedtime!  I was so tired that I fell asleep in the 4th quarter and then they lost.  When I woke up I wasn't feeling the greatest...sore throatish...

Well when it was time to wake up this morning I felt like poop.  Brendon was so nice that he let me sleep in...I slept until 9:49 a.m. Holy COW! I haven't slept in that late in like 2 and 1/2 years...my body is tired both mentally and physically. I felt ok but after I took some allergy medicine I felt better.  They have been saying on the news the pollen was high so that may be it.  Olivia and I gave Jake a bath outside this morning.  Thank goodness we did and I let her play in the little pool after because the rest of the afternoon it was pretty junky.  While we were eating lunch outside I sent Olivia in to get some cookies.  It was nice and bright and sunny and all of a sudden... BOOM.  I mean like scare the poop out of booms.  I thought a bomb went off but Brendon saw the flash of lightning.  Poor Olivia got so scared she started crying. I think it scared all of us.  Needless to say not so long after that it started raining.  But still it was scary! But we did end of eating dinner outside and poor Olivia fell off the picnic table.  We kept telling her to sit down and whoop there she went under the table.  She didn't get hurt at all but it just scared her!

And we have been ending our day like this...
