Olivia talking to the Chic-fil-a cow

Saturday with mommy

Today I woke up at about 7:45 a.m. with mom! I love when mom is home in the morning.  She fed me and then Jake.  I watched Jake eat his food again.  Since I am moving around more, we are using the Pack and Play more.  It is kind of like a baby jail to me.  Mommy put me in there this morning so she could take Jake to the bathroom and that was long enough for me.  I tried apricots today.  Not sure if I am allergic to them but my cheeks were a little rosy today.  We will see what happens tomorrow.  Mommy and I went to Gymboree and had fun today.  I got to see my friend Nikki.  She finally moved up to my class.  Mommy and I came home and watched football- actually I took a nap and mommy watched football.  Then we played and ate some more.  I can now crawl from my bedroom to the bathroom when it is bath time.  I do make some pit stops but mostly I make it there.

XOXO
Olivia

Growing

Well I noticed today that Olivia is really growing.  Her little John Deere outfit is going to have to be retired after it is washed.  Brendon is in total denial of this, but the arms are too short, the pants are too short, and the onesie is being pulled way down in the front.  That just shows how much she is growing.  Soon hopefully by December those 9 month clothes will start to get washed and ready to wear.  It is so crazy how fast she is growing!

As you can see the onesie is way down in the front...

Here I come mommy!

Favorite Toys

Olivia is starting to show some favoritism to some toys.  She loves this Baby Einstein book.  She will sit there and open and close it a million times.  Sometimes she presses the button and it talks to her.  But I think Brendon and I are over hearing, "Let's explore." Also something else she loves is a wooden spoon.  She will sit and tap it on things, chew on it, and just have fun with it.  Now that is some cheap entertainment!

Olivia waiting for Jake to play

Waiting for Jake

This morning I grew very curious about Jake.  I crawled over to his crate and waited for him to finish his supper.  I sat there and played with his crate.  I was trying to figure out how to let him out so we could play! I think Jake is so funny- I laugh and smile at him all the time.  I am sure Jake is the only one who understands what I am saying.

Come on Jake! Hurry up and eat!

Mac and Cheese and Cheerios

Today I tried some new foods with Olivia.  Baby Mac and Cheese- not quite sure if she liked it- it made a big mess! Change of clothes was necessary.  I also tried some Cheerios with her.  She did good if I split them in half.  We were trying the Puffs but sometimes they are too big and she tries to swallow it whole- not fun.  But she seemed to like them- they are not as sweet as the Puffs.  This crazy girl just wants to pull herself up on everything.  She also did some real crawling action and got both arms moving separately instead of them simultaneously.  So it won't be long.  She will take a couple motions and then sit back up and smile.  Too funny... I have been trying to get her to go from her bedroom to the bathroom for her bath- tonight it worked with a little help from Jake!

Monday a Day of Firsts

Well today we went and opened Olivia a savings account! So that was something of a first for her.  Then we went for a walk at Tribble Mill Park because it was gorgeous this afternoon and we walked to the playground and checked out the swings.  We weren't sure if she was big enough but she was.  So she had her first "real" swing ride today- besides the swing in her room.  First she was really nervous and was holding on for dear life but then she liked it and even smiled a few times.  It was hard to get the smiles on camera. What a fun afternoon!

Olivia's Baptism pre ceremony

Olivia's Baptism

Today we had Olivia baptized.  We feel so blessed our neighbors Rick and Karyn are Olivia's Godparents.  Olivia did great at church and she only let out a little cry when she had the water poured on her head and took a five minute snooze or so.  The worst part was the oil.  Her hair was soaked in it! I washed her hair twice when we got home but still tonight after her bath and 3rd washing of hair it is still a little stinky and slick.  But overall it was a great day and we had a great get together afterwards to celebrate.  Here are a few pictures from today but we are in the process of making a movie/slideshow of it all.  What a blessed day it was to celebrate our little miracle.
