Super Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa

When I woke up today mommy and grandma came into my room! I was such a happy girl this morning and played with Grandma and Grandpa.  Grandma came with us to Gymboree and then we went shopping.  When we were at JcPenny's I got hungry and mommy had to feed me while we waited in line.  Then I came home and played more.  I had such a fun day! I can't wait until tomorrow for my Baptism!

XOXO

uh oh- we are in trouble!

Olivia was a fussy eater for her daddy this morning and a little bit for me but she ate her solids good today and just took about 6.25 oz before bed.  When I got her up from her nap this afternoon, I turned to open the blinds and turn off the fan and uh oh- someone figured out how to sit up in her crib! Yikes!! Looks like we are going to have to make some crib adjustments this weekend! We are so excited because Grandma and Grandpa are coming this weekend for Olivia's baptism on Sunday! We are hoping for a fun weekend!

Super Smiley!

Uh oh sitting in my crib!!

I think it is fun!

Olivia going from her tummy to sitting to tummy

Trying something new

Today Brendon tried to feed Olivia avocado.  That equaled a major fail.  We have read about how good it is for babies. Maybe we just didn't prepare it right but she ended up throwing it up while trying to eat it.  We will revisit that again in a few weeks! Guess she is not ready for the "real" stuff yet.

Also today she "crawled" over to her bouncy seat and decided she wanted to push herself up.  Crazy how she just figures things out.  It is truly amazing to see her grow everyday!

What mommy?

hmm... let me see..

ok just a little bit more

I can do this...

YES!

wahoo!

whoa...

ok getting ready to be done!

On your mark get set...

Well we are almost at go.  Olivia is all over the place.  Trying to teach her not to touch things is very hard.  But she enjoys being mobile.  She can go all over her room and I almost got her from her bedroom to the bathroom tonight.  She is also starting to go from her tummy to a sitting position.  So we can sit, go to tummy, army crawl/crawl/leapfrog, to back to sitting.  Brendon thinks we are soon going to have to move her crib down because she was almost sitting up in her crib this morning.

Also Olivia is afraid of the packaging tape dispenser! I was using some packaging tape tonight to label something and she did NOT like it one bit.  She cried and screamed- geez! I only used 4 pieces of tape.  It was funny and not funny at the same time.

on the way to sitting back up

ready or not....

here I come!

trying to sit back up!

Awww...!

November 1st- Time for some new goals!

Here were my goals for last month... and how I did...

Goals for October-

1. This goal is something that I set the other night because it is my down fall every year.  I am NOT going to buy any candy.  It seems from Halloween until Easter I love to eat candy.  M and M's are my downfall and for some odd reason all the holiday M and Ms taste so much better than regular M and Ms and I never buy them on a regular basis.  So it started with not buying any Halloween candy but then I thought about it- there is Christmas candy, Valentine candy, and Easter candy....so NO Candy for me! Please stop me if you see me attempt to eat it.  I admit I bought some candy today for a lesson and I will NOT eat the candy!! I DID NOT EAT ANY CANDY!! I am so proud of myself!! CHECK!

2. Lose 2 pounds.  I have 7 pounds to go... I hope not eating the candy will help! I lost ONE lousy pound- but it has been a busy month- I know- lame excuse!

3. Run 3 times a week.  I am running about 2 times a week... I need to do better. I was able to do this twice this month- next month must do better!

4. Try to go for walks with Olivia in the afternoons.  I always try to do this but usually something comes up or naps and eating aren't cooperating! I got her out twice...must do better

5. Finish a book and start another.  My Nook is getting dusty.  I have read the last 2 nights though. I did finish one book and have started another! Check!

6. Go see some friends.  I miss a lot of my friends.  Friday night was usually girls night.  Now girls night is Olivia and I which is fun but I miss a lot of my friends. I tried to get out.  I did go shopping one day.  This month I know that I already have a playdate setup!

Goals for November

1. Keep not eating candy!

2. Lose 2 pounds.  I have 6 pounds to go... I hope that all the turkey festivities won't hurt me!

3. Run 3 times a week

4. Same as last month try to go for walks.

5. Continue reading!

6. Go on a date with my husband.  We have not been on a date since Olivia was born... big =(

Happy Halloween and an Ear Infection

Well daddy took me to the doctor this morning and mommy was right- I have and ear infection.  I have some pink bubble gum tasting medicine.  I do not like it and I didn't want to eat today.  Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better and want to eat.  I did wear my Halloween outfits- too bad a had a super pooper at the doctor and pooped on one.  So daddy was nice and washed it for me.  I got to wear my pumpkin costume and went to trick or treat at the neighbors house! Sine I do not eat candy they made me a cute pumpkin! Thank you so much, I loved it! I hope next year will be even more fun than this year!

XOXO

Olivia playing the pots and pans

More fun on Sunday

Olivia took special interest in Jake today...Jake is eating his supper

Jake come out and play!

Playing with the pot!

What are we doing with the pumpkins?

Watching mommy make my pumpkin.

Intensely watching

Finished product

Can I touch it?

I love my pumpkin!

I saw Jake drink water out of his bowl- I needed to check it out

Whoa...

I have to touch it!

Mommy what are you doing?  Mommy is intense when it comes to carving!
Today we had more family fun.  Olivia slept in until almost 8:00 a.m.! Mommy was so happy because she got a lot of sleep last night.  Daddy did not- he got up early to work at the Atlanta Marathon.  Today was chilly outside so we made chili for dinner.  When I was cooking the ground meat this morning I let Olivia play with a wooden spoon and pan.  She loved it! She was laughing while she played.  This is the first time she laughed at something by herself.  She usually laughs when we laugh or smile at her but she did this all on her own.  The video is being uploaded as I type... it will be up shortly.  We also carved our pumpkins today for Halloween.  Olivia got her own small pumpkin and thanks to Grandma who gave us some funny faces to stick in it.  Maybe next year she will carve.  We let her look inside the pumpkin and touch it.  We were disappointed at how few seeds were in it.  While I was scooping mine it was coming out like spaghetti noodles...weird! Tomorrow we will light our pumpkins to show our great carvings!
