Cold but fun day!

Super duper cold today.  Some places got snow...but we didn't.  We stayed busy though.  Olivia played in my shoes this morning.

Then Olivia played Play Doh.  Brendon tried having Olivia drink out of a cup with no lid on it for lunch.  She did pretty well.  She only spilled a little.

After lunch daddy and Olivia planted seeds for the upcoming garden.  Brendon has been starting his seeds inside for the past few years and then transfers the seedlings once they are ready and the weather is ready outside.  Olivia helped put the seeds in the dirt.  She was a good helper!

It was so cold today but both Brendon and I got outside. I ran and he rode his bike.  It was cold...the wind was pretty nasty.

After dinner Olivia tried helping with the dishes and then we played ball upstairs in the hallway.  She is getting much better at catching, throwing, and kicking.  She has a pretty good kick...maybe a future soccer player.

March, in like a lion

Can't believe that it is March 1st.  That means...20 days until Olivia turns 2! So fast!

It is so stinking cold.  I am hoping that this is the in like a lion part.  I am so ready for spring and I think some of the flowers and trees do too.  There are daffodils in bloom and some of the flowering trees have started blooming.  Hate to tell them that it is going to be cold.

Olivia had a good day with daddy.  They went grocery shopping and a few other stores.  After her nap we played and had fun.  Before her bed we played with her blocks and she did some different things.  First, she took a few blocks and made a square out of them.  Then she made a really long train with some of the others.  So interesting to see her do some different things with the blocks.  It is really interesting to see her change how she plays with toys.  I love it though!

Cranky Pants

Olivia had super cranky pants today.  She was not a happy girl when she woke up.  She cried off an on during breakfast and was a tad clingy towards me.  She was fine once we got in the car for Susan's house.  Susan said she was fine the whole time she was there.

When we got home cranky pants returned.  I had a lot of, "No!" from her today.  Must be the terrible 2s kicking in.  She did nap for me but wasn't happy when we woke up.  But eventually she was fine, ate a snack and off we went to Kindermusik.  She had lots of fun.  I did notice tonight that her top eye teeth were really coming in and the bottom ones looked a bit swollen...so I would be cranky too if my teeth were coming in!

Back to Square One and Peanut Butter

Back to square one with bedtime! Last night she cried and then stopped after a few minutes.  Tonight she started again...first it was like a fake cry and then it changed to a real cry.  Ugh! So I went in an soothed her and then l took a rest on the ladybug pillow. It was such a blissful few weeks of having to go to bed on her own.  Not sure what has changed in the past 2 days.

Olivia and I had lunch together and I tried to have her try peanut butter.  She is getting close to 2 so since I was having a peanut butter sandwich she could try.  Yes we are those wacko parents who haven't given their child peanut butter yet.  BUT the doctor said not until 2 since I had peanut allergies.  We first tried on the spoon and it wasn't her most favorite. She did take a bite of my sandwich and ate that.  I also gave her some peanut butter crackers and she ate a few of those.  She was fine and nothing happened! I kept a close eye on her to see if she would have any reactions.

Olivia and I ran to Walgreens really quick after her nap.  She still has a clear runny nose.  The nurse said to try some Zrytec.  On the way there, she pointed to a motorcycle behind us in the car.  She loved all the bunnies and bears at Walgreens that are out for Easter.

We had a pretty good dinner together.  She sat in her chair the whole time! She ate her noodles and veggies.  Then she helped me with the dishes.  I let her wash 2 pans.  She seemed to enjoy it.  Then we swept the crumbies up off the floor as she calls them.  Then we played in her room and she told me she wanted to play with her Little People and go poop.  And she did.  Lovely!

Exercise

I had another long day today with parent-teacher conferences.  I was happy when I got home.  I guess Brendon and Olivia did some exercise while I was working.  I guess we need to start getting her ready for a race!

Olivia was soooo happy to see me when she woke up from her nap.  We played and ate dinner together.  She did much better with dinner tonight. It is funny to hear her say potato (we had sweet potatoes) and zucchini.

Elmo Day with Daddy

Daddy and me had a fun day together while mommy worked all day for parent-teacher conferences.  Daddy asked me what I wanted to wear this morning and showed me 2 choices.  #1 Sabres shirt or #2 Elmo outfit.  I cried when he hung Elmo back up so it was Elmo outfit day.  We had breakfast and went to Gymboree.  We had lots of fun with bears.  Then we came home and had lunch and napped.  I wasn't too happy when daddy woke me up from my nap but then I had some snack and was fine.  Then daddy made tacos and mommy came home! I was so happy to see her.  We played and took a bath.  Then we had a snack and daddy read me the Marley Goes to School book.  I had a fun day but I missed my mommy!

XOXO

Picture Perfect Day!

Today was a picture perfect day.  The sun was shining and it was somewhat warm... 62 degrees! Since we went to church last night we didn't have to go this morning.  So we slept in a bit 7:45 a.m.! That is sleeping in for us now.  We had breakfast...Olivia ate a whole waffle.  Then we read the newspaper and Olivia read her books...ALL of them that are downstairs. This picture does not do justice for all the books that were all over the floor.

Then about 11:00 we went 2 houses down to the pond they have.  They said we could fish there anytime.  So it was perfect this morning.  We walked down there and fished.  We had one bite.  But with all the rain we had the water was a bit muddy.  Olivia did a good job walking and really liked fishing.  She liked turning the reel and bringing in the bobber.

After her nap we went back outside.  Brendon pruned the apple tree and Olivia and I played.  We played on her slide and swing.  Then we did bubbles.  Then I got out chalk.  She loved drawing on the driveway.  When we came in and got washed up Olivia helped me make a pie.  We made a pecan pie.  She helped dump in all of the ingredients and stir.  We  even turned the light on in the oven to check on it.

What a picture perfect day though! Fun =)
