New Years Eve

Daddy got to come with mommy and me to Gymboree today! It was so much fun.  We had such a good time and he met another daddy there so he wasn't the only daddy there today! I was not the best napper today.  Mommy and daddy think it is another tooth because I was not the best bottle eater (just took forever but drank them) or napper today.  I napped in the car and that was about it.  I napped for about 40 minutes this afternoon but that was after about 40 minutes of crying and mommy trying to get me to relax.  We then went for dinner at my Godparents house.  Mommy was so happy because it was nice to not eat dinner alone especially on New Years Eve.  Mommy says she doesn't really like this holiday anyways.  She says it is overrated, whatever that means! I had so much fun over at my Godparents house.  My Godfather Rick showed me the train that goes around the tree! It was neat.  I also crawled all over and pulled up on some of their furniture! My Godmother Karyn made pizza...it was  so yummy! Mommy let me have some crust! I love pizza crust!! Then mommy brought me home and said how nice it was to walk home and not have an awful car ride home! I took a bath, drank my bottle, and went right to sleep.  Mommy told me, "Happy New Year!" and gave me a big hug and kiss!

So to all our readers- Happy New Year from all of us to all of you! May 2012 be filled with love, laughter, hope and happiness!

XOXO

Play Date

Today Olivia had a play date at our house with her friends Raegan, Peyton, and Karson! It is very challenging to get 4 different aged babies to meet at the same time.  The key is to be flexible! Even though we only gather for an hour or so it is fun to see the children interact with each other.  Of course there was an extra child Jake who felt left out and needed to get his amount of attention.  I love Jake so much but sometimes I get a little embarrassed by his behavior.  But we know he just wants the attention- whether it is positive or negative.  It does drive me a little crazy though! The play date was fun and it was a good time had by all!

Congratulations to whomever was the 10,000th person to view our website.  Brendon and I think that is pretty amazing.  Why?  We never thought that anyone would actually care to read about our mundane life.  We are just a plain old American family who like to share our life with our friends and family.  Blogging has become an actual way for us to show you what our life is like, what our struggles and triumphs are, and sometimes a way to just express what is near and dear to our hearts.  I know some of it is probably boring to most people and probably some people think we are bragging all the time.  We try to make it interesting, funny. and appealing for you all.  So I hope we are doing a good job of that.  We love to show people what the world is like for new parents and hope that some of what we say and do is helpful to others.  We know that we don't know everything and we always learn something new everyday.  I know that my mom is probably one person that reads this blog daily- she even knows when to call here because she waits for the blog to be posted (sorry about the delays the past couple of days- we were watching movies). But having this blog helps her to be here everyday.  She likes to see what we do everyday and  sometimes what went wrong that day.  So thank you mom to being such a dedicated reader of the blog.  Also, Aunt Cheryl I know you are reading this too.... thank you too for reading this and Olivia can't get enough of that puppy!!! But we love having people view our blog and hope they continue to do so.  We feel blessed that people like us and the blog.

Now here are some alternate uses for a high chair that Olivia discovered today...

#1- It is the perfect height to pull up on and rest my hands on the foot rest.

#2- The seat belt part is very tasty to put in my mouth and chew on

A Walk in the Woods

Today we went for a walk in the woods.  I usually only go out in the woods when #1 the temperature is right- not too hot or not too cold and #2 when all the nasty bugs are not hanging out- ticks and spiders.  Brendon knows that I am not the biggest fan of going in the woods but I did the ol' Girl Scout promise and did my best today.  It was hard walking because I had Olivia in the Baby Hawk and couldn't see where I was stepping.  But it was a nice walk- a little chilly but we were all bundled up. We didn't see any animals except a hawk- no deer, foxes, or even a squirrel.  We showed Olivia all around and where her future tree house is (A.K.A.- Brendon's tree stand).  I think she liked looking all around, it was fun!

Pizza Date at Amicis!

Tonight we went on a family pizza date to Amici's in Monroe.  We LOVE their pizza.  Olivia was such a good girl sitting in the high chair.  She even ate some Cheerios and pizza crust while we were there.  She loved the crust!! I sat in the backseat so there was no crying which seemed to work since she didn't cry!

Playing this morning- she kept throwing the Target and Publix ads around!

Puppy love on Christmas

Day after Christmas...Whole lot of Crying

Olivia was great today until we got home from some shopping.  We ran to Target and Publix for all the things that are not 70% off today...diapers and formula.  We were probably the only people buying things that were not on sale.  Don't worry we had coupons of course! After we got home I tried laying her down for her nap- not gonna happen.  She cried on and off for an hour and half no matter what I did or where I put her.  Then she fussed again before bed and it took her a few minutes to settle down to sleep.  Maybe that tooth will finally pop out...!! You can feel it and see it but it is not out completely yet.  Maybe tomorrow but not getting my hopes up!

Merry Christmas!

Today we are feeling blessed and overwhelmed by all that Christmas brings.  Here is a snapshot of our day.

Olivia woke up about 7:50 and we got her up and Olivia had breakfast.  After she ate we then started opening presents.  She seemed excited at first but the sound of the crinkling paper got her a little nervous but no crying.  I think she was a little overwhelmed by what was going on.  During presents Olivia also had a bottle and eventually went down for a nap.  We finished opening gifts without her =(.  After we finished opening I began the clean up process as Brendon prepared the ham.  We had some snacks then Olivia woke up ate again and then we played and Skyped with family.  Then Olivia took her second nap and we had a dinner guest, Graham (Brendon's friend from work), who ate dinner and hung out with us.  After dinner Olivia woke up ate again and we all watched Elf.  Then Graham left and Olivia took a bath in the BIG tub.  She about crawled out of the little tub and stood up in it last night, which showed us that she might be ready for the big tub.  She was a little nervous at first and then relaxed! Finally Brendon read the Polar Express as Olivia took her last bottle and she went to bed.

We want to thank everyone who sent Olivia gifts.  You all did not have to do that but we thank you for it.  Olivia is so loved by so many people and we are overwhelmed by your generosity and thoughtfulness!! We hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas!!
