Busy Rainy Saturday!

I got up at 4:30 a.m. to run a 1/2 marathon.  Caren, Mark, and I ran the Georgia Peach Jam 1/2 marathon in Cumming.  Michelle ran the 5K!  It was a wet race and lots of puddles.  But it was a great race.  I ran it in 2 hours and 3 minutes.  My best half marathon time.  So proud of myself!

Then I stopped at Griffin's house and visited and gave him an Easter basket.

Then came home for lunch and start the bunny cake.  Brendon hard boiled eggs in the morning for us to color later.

Then it was rest and shower time and I zoomed off to Wendy's house and then got my hair cut.  Then zoomed home for dinner.  Then we colored the eggs and decorated the cake which Jake already ate an ear =(!!! Grrr!!! Then we wrote a note to the Easter bunny and left out some carrots! We also planted some jellybeans for the Easter bunny.

Perfect Day for Play-Doh

It was rainy this afternoon and a perfect day for Play-Doh.  We tried out the Sweet Shoppe ice cream maker.  It was a little difficult for an adult to use so it was a little hard for Olivia but we still had fun. I try to save things like Play-Doh for special rainy occasions like today =)  It kept both of us engaged for over an hour!

We made ice cream cones and ice cream sundaes!

Seussical

This afternoon Olivia was not in the best mood.  She didn't want to eat lunch and was fussy pants...so I end up putting her down for a nap at 1:00! She slept pretty good.  When she woke up she was a bit happier and we played for a bit.  We had to eat an early dinner because we went to my students performance of Seussical the Musical.  I told her before we left we had to fix her hair, her reply, "Am I going to get different hair?"  I guess I need to rephrase that but it was super cute.  I explained that we were just going to comb her hair and put a hair bow in.  Olivia was really good at school.  I think in her mind she thought the Cat in the Hat was going to be there.  But she sat and listened to the kids sing and was great.  My students did such a great job...I love seeing them perform out of the classroom...sometimes the shy and quiet ones can surprise you!

Mommy, I don't want to...

Today I got a whole lot of , "Mommy I don't want to go poop in the potty." Well Olivia it isn't about wanting it, you need to go.  Finally after many attempts and lots of bribery she went! AND she went in the potty.  But I had to laugh....every time she had to go to the bathroom she would tell me that she just had to go pee...not poop.

But she had a great day at Susan's and lots of fun at dance class too today.

Happy Birthday Pepa!

Today is Pepa's birthday! Olivia made him a cake (well a wooden one anyways).  Of course I could not get her to sing Happy Birthday! I am sure she will sing it tomorrow like she did with Brendon's birthday.  But she keeps asking when Pepa is coming over for his birthday and when is his party.  So had to explain all that...Pepa had a party with his friends and no kids only adults....which was hard for her to understand but in the end she understood we were not going to Pepa's party today!

Happy Birthday Pepa! She loved making a movie for you! Enjoy your cake!

Gardening, Back to School, A Follow Up with Allergist, AND Gymnastics

Yesterday Olivia and Brendon were busy in the garden! Hopefully it will be ok...supposed to get down into the 30s tomorrow night! BRRRR!!!

I am not sure if I ever fell asleep last night...so I am very tired and going back to work today makes it even more tiring...going to bed VERY soon!

We had a follow up at the allergist today since we haven't been able to wean her of Zyrtec to control the hives.  She is taking about 1/4 tsp of it nightly and tried to wean her again about 2 weeks ago and she broke out.  So allergist said to continue with that tiny amount, still watch tree nut products, and in August do a more intensive allergy testing involving blood work- not fun! She suggested both parents be there....so not fun!

Then tonight we had gymnastics and Olivia got a ribbon! So proud of her!
