Strawberry Patch, Leo's 3rd Birthday, and Fun outside

We were really busy today.  This is the first time I have sat down all day!

I ran this morning and after I came home we zoomed off to the Washington Farms strawberry patch by our house.  It wasn't that busy when I went by it on the way home from running but it was pretty busy once we got there.  But we had lots of fun picking.  Olivia got upset while we were there because I ate a strawberry! I told her that you are allowed to eat one while you picked but she didn't want one.  She did have a little piece of one later while I was cutting them.

After the strawberry patch Brendon cut the grass while I showered and got lunch ready for Olivia.  We ate lunch and then got ready for Leo's 3rd birthday party.

We had such a fun time at the Rancho Alegre farm for Leo's party. It was nice and warm.  Olivia had fun riding the pony, seeing the animals and playing!

Then we came home and washed our cars and filled up the little pool...tomorrow it may be sprinkler time!

Helper and How's Work?

Olivia is a really good helper in the morning with Jake.  She likes to feed him his supper, give him his biscuit and greenie, water in his bowl, and his poopie treat! I guess today she wanted it all in one place and ready to go!

She also likes to help her daddy with lots of things...

The past couple of days she asks me, "How's work?" I tell her about it and then she asks me, "What did you teach the kids today?" So I told her today we worked on adding and subtracting numbers, teaching how to use the clock and some other stuff! She is very excited about school....I hope she loves it when it is time.

We played some baseball outside tonight and she is pretty good hitting it off the tee.  I wanted to get some video but she wasn't in the mood for her picture or to make a movie! Maybe tomorrow!

Running Behind Today and New Tooth

All day long I have felt like I have been running behind! I felt rushed at work, I quick squeezed a run in, but always felt so rushed today.  I was working on some stuff this afternoon and almost forgot about dinner.  So Olivia and I rushed to make a good dinner...which she ate like 1/2 of.

Also her left lower 2nd year molar has popped through.  It was almost 2 months exactly since the right side popped through.  That could explain some of the not wanting to eat and being a little crabby this week.  I asked her if it felt sore and she said yes.  Then I asked her to tell me what it feels like (I was totally going for an answer of it hurts like a boo boo or something like that) and her response was...it feels like tooth! Priceless answer =) She looked me with that duh mom look!

Impromptu Day

Today did NOT go as planned.  Olivia didn't nap...but she did go poop on the potty! She didn't want to rest so we took some impromptu errands.  We went to the library and got some new books.  Then went and got gas and went to dance class.  When I peeked in Olivia was doing so good and I even heard the teacher compliment her a few times! After dinner we went and watered the flowers and played outside.  I love that it is warmer now at night and we can play outside again!

Flowers!

The weather people goofed again....said it was going to be rainy all day, then late rain showers around five.  Not what happened at all.  I told Olivia yesterday if she ate all her lunch we would go buy some flowers.  When I got home I finished up her lunch so Brendon could go for a bike ride.  While Olivia and I were at the Grower's Outlet it started sprinkling and then by the ride home it was raining.  When we got home we hurried and got the plants out.  After dinner I tried planting some plants...I stink at gardening...not my forte at all.  I like my hanging baskets and I am pretty successful at that.  So Olivia and I pulled some weeds and then planted a butterfly plant, and 2 small azaleas- she kept calling them zowies! Azalea is pretty hard to say! Then we placed the beautiful Godparent stone from Griffin in the garden!  Hopefully the plants will survive. I am sure Brendon will have to recheck them!

Next to the Azaleas by the shed!

First Cry at Gymnastics

Olivia had her first cry ever at gymnastics.  She was really excited to go.  she did her stretches and worked on her floor exercises.  Then it was time for the bars...which usually she loves because she likes to be like a monkey.  She wasn't really paying attention to her teacher and missed what she did on the big high bars which was a complete somersault all the way around the bar.  So we did the first few bars and got to the big one....well she didn't really know what to do so I told her that we were going to hang on to the bars and go all the way around.  The teacher and I tried to get her in the correct position and then we turned her over...which she wasn't all the way in the right position but the best we could...she freaked out.  She started crying and her poor legs were shaking.  Thank goodness all of the other kids really didn't like it either but they didn't cry as much as Olivia.  It took a good 10 minutes to get her calmed down.  I felt bad.  I almost was going to take her home but I thought it would be one of those mommy teachable moments....stick with it kid kind of thing and that you can't quit because something scares you.  So we stayed.  A Cinderella sticker made it all better.  The teacher explained to me the earlier they get used to it the better.  I felt bad that she cried but then she was fine and played in the pit thing.  So hopefully she won't be afraid to go back next week!

Haapy Easter 2014

We had a great Easter today! The sun came out.  Olivia was very excited about finding her Easter basket...so excited she did not want to eat much breakfast.

We got up early for church and Olivia was really good in church.  When we got home from church we took a quick picture and then ate a good breakfast!

The Easter bunny even left some tracks on the porch...

Last night we planted some jellybeans for the Easter bunny and he gre us some lollypops! Even though someone (some form or a critter ate some of them- left the wrapper and the sticks!)

Lollypops...or what is left of them!
Then it was time to get ready for the egg hunt!

Let's go!!

Where are the eggs?

I got one! Yippee!!

Where are more eggs?

Let's go daddy!

Time to open them up! Pennies!! Yipee!

Such a great day topped off with a good turkey dinner with squash casserole, mac and cheese and bunny cake! Yummy!
