The early morning walk on the beach

I told Olivia before we went to the beach that we would get up early one morning to go look for turtle tracks. So on Monday at the beach Olivia woke me up pretty early and we went for an early morning walk on the beach looking for turtle tracks.  At times our walk was quiet- looking for the perfect shell or looking for tracks.  Other times it was filled with giggles and squeals...especially when we found jellyfish- which there was a TON of them!!! Gross!!! But it gave me time with her, time I won't get back with her.  She is growing so fast and time is precious with her.  Out of any present she has ever given me...this would be my best present from her.  Just her and I and walking on the beach, taking it all in, her tiny footstep next to mine, holding hands. A perfect moment, so thankful and blessed with that quiet time with her in our jammies walking the beach.

Hilton Head '015

The day after school ended we zoomed off to Hilton Head with our friends! Such a great trip and I loved where we stayed.  Close to the beach, bike path, and the pool!

Flat out tired

Olivia had her last day of Pre K Prep a few weeks ago which involved a day of water fun.  So much fun there was no nap that day.  She talked all about her day on the way home and then literally fell asleep at the top of the driveway! When I pulled in the garage I took her out of the car and asked her if she wanted to lay down in her bed...no...so I sat her on the bottom step on the landing...when I came back in from unloading my car...zzzzzzzz and she stayed there a good 20 minutes until Jake licked her face! Poor thing was just flat out tired but had such a fun day!

The next day...
