Truck Full of Memories

Today I dropped a whole truck full...literally of Olivia's clothes and my maternity clothes to a HUGE consignment sale.  Lots of mixed emotions about it.  I am just hoping when I go back on August 18th there is not much to pick up...I hope.  I hope whoever buys our things can make some great new memories in the clothes.  I know that we have made a lot of good memories in them so I hope to pass that on to someone else. I know this is one of the hardest part of letting go and letting go of the things but I still have all those memories made in those things!

Storms

We have had some pretty nasty storms last night at bedtime and today when I left school.  The storm was so bad I got to a neighborhood where I knew one of my good friend's lives and pulled into her driveway.  It was so bad that you couldn't see anything...probably one of the worst I have ever driven in.  Kim gave Olivia and I some fruit and Olivia played with her dog! I am so thankful Kim was there to rescue us from the storm!

Of course it is raining again and another storm to come later...

We did a good job until....

Today I was so proud of Olivia.  Her Encopresis has its good moments and bad. Last night after about an hour of trying she pooped on the potty! Wahoo! So tonight, I told her that her friends were at the park and if she went we could go to the park.  Well what do you know....she pooped in 5 minutes or less! We were so thrilled and excited! We literally ran out of the house to make it to the park! Well we made it and saw animals- llamas, bunnies, ducks, a baby pig and played....

And then about 45 minutes after we were into playing a very sad Olivia came up to me and said she pooped in her pants.  We were both so sad because it was bad enough that we had to go home.  I got her all cleaned up in the car and we sadly drove home.

There was a glimmer of hope today...oh well tomorrow is a new day! But I was so happy to see her so happy to go poop and not have to get on and off the potty all night! In all honesty I think she was the saddest about me throwing away her Elsa undies....

Start of school and library

Today was my first FULL day with my students.  I had a great day with my 2nd graders.  The first day flies by so fast...I counted to make sure I had all of students a million times, went to the bathroom a million times, ate lunch, and got everyone on the correct method of transportation to go home! Day 1 = Success! I am still having mixed emotions about the whole full time thing...

Especially when I saw these...Brendon had to take Olivia to return her library books today... Olivia showed him how to do everything...how to return the books and checked out the books herself! So proud of her!! But I felt that tug in my heart that it should be me at the library with her...sigh...take a deep breath....it will be ok!

BBQ with friends

We had a busy weekend.  After getting all the yard sale stuff cleaned up it was time to clean up for a BBQ with friends.  Brendon cooked some yummy pulled pork and beer can chickens.  Everyone brought some sides and it was yummy!  The pool was a bit chilly but everyone still had fun! Good times were had by all.

We are so blessed to have such great friends to spend time with and have fun with!

First Yard Sale

Talk about crazy....my friend Michelle and I threw together a yard sale this week...yes along with going back to work...craziness.  Thankfully I have my clothes tagged and on hangers to go to a consignment sale next Saturday so it made it partly easy.  We got it set up last night.  I tagged some more stuff last night and then got up early today.  I stopped and put some signs at a few corners and posted pictures on Facebook.  Well some of it worked some said, "We saw your pictures on Facebook!"  Michelle did great selling boys clothes which most people wanted and said they are hard to find.  I sold some clothes but was able to get rid of some additional stuff- bottles, Bumbo Seat, toys and some household stuff.  But so happy to get rid of some stuff!

When I get bigger

Captured a cute conversation last night before bed while Olivia and I were in the kitchen.

Olivia, "When I get bigger I am going to wake up and make you coffee! Yep, I put 8 scoops of coffee and fill it to number 8. I have to get bigger because it is heavy and hot."

My reply, "Ok. that would be great.  Mommy and Daddy would love that."

Olivia then states, "And then when I get really bigger, I can get the pancake mix down to make pancakes for you too!"

My reply, "That would be even better! You have to keep eating your fruits and vegetables to grow big and tall to do those things!"

In a way I want to keep her little...but for the time being she needs to be little and have fun with being 3!
