Not a box or laundry basket

I felt so gross this morning...I think the morning is the worst for me because I am so congested.  Plus I have to take my medicine on an empty stomach with water.... no milk for 2 hours.  But I survived barely today =(

Olivia tonight decided to play some make believe with our laundry basket.  So it wasn't a laundry basket anymore and it wasn't a box...it was a cave! What did she take in there...a toy and her prayer book that my mom gave her.  She told me, "I am busy reading prayers in my cave with my special book from mema!" Well she wasn't breaking anything or hurting anyone...so pray away my sweet child!

Sick Mommy Happy Olivia

I finally got to the doctor today and I have a sinus infection...yuck.  He also noticed that I have a deviated septum...awesome! That could mean more sinus infections (as per Dr. Google). I got some medicine but my voice sounds horrible...like it went through a cheese grater!

Olivia was pretty happy though tonight.  We went to Publix to get my prescription and then to dance class.  She did a pretty good job when I peeked...even though she wasn't shuffle stepping when I peeked in one time. 

Alright time to finish school work and then bed...

Ray of Sunshine

Ugh...feeling sick again...felt fine all Saturday until bed time.  Then I could tell that something was coming on...I could feel it in my neck and my glands are still swollen.  I called the doctor today but they can't see me until tomorrow at 3:15...  Also I noticed some pollen on my car this afternoon...yup pollen count was up for elm tree and ragweed. So that could be doing it too.  Right now I barely have a voice.... Mommy's don't get sick days =(

But at least Olivia was really good and a big helper tonight.  We had coup for dinner...her request because it will make me feel better! So princess and cars chicken noodle soup it was! She was also a ray of sunshine in her all yellow outfit today!

A Day at the Fair

It has been super stormy the past few nights...last night was brutal.  Drove through 2 storms...one on the way to a consignment sale and one on the way home.  The lightning was incredible!

Today after I ran and Brendon biked we took Olivia to the Gwinnett County Fair.  It was not crowded at all but it was SUPER hot! We walked around and found 2 rides that Olivia wanted to ride.  The carousel and she kept saying she wanted to ride a motorcycle ride...well she changed  her mind.  We did the carousel, went and saw some animals- goats and cows, and then she decided to go on an alligator boat ride.  She had fun! Then we got a lemonade and came home!

Olivia rested and after a very delayed UGA game, we tried to relax and watch the game. 

But a good Saturday!

When it is not just a receipt

Took another load of stuff to a consignment sale on Sunday...this time there was much less....hoping to come home with even less in 2 weeks!

I found a couple books that we don't need.  I took a few to the sale but Brendon took 2 to work for someone.  I guess I thought I cleaned them out already of book marks and but I guess I missed one.

Brendon found a receipt I guess we used as a book mark in the one book.  It was the receipt from when we went out to lunch after our doctor told us that we were most definitely having a baby THIS weekend and it was date 3/18...3 days before Olivia was born.

I still remember that lunch...being paralyzed with fear and telling myself that I am NOT ready for this baby to come because she is too early! I remember being anxious about how it all would happen and could I really do the whole labor and delivery deal?!?!?! But it was such a good lunch and a last lunch just the two of us.  I guess it tugged on my heart a little when he said he found this and I just had to HAVE to keep it.

Little did we know how it all would happen but when it did we were so blessed and all those fears and worries from that lunch disappeared.

Time Out Mommy!

Olivia was in a mood tonight...it all started with taking off her shoes...she refused to do it...and I refused to do it.  Oh there was screaming, crying, and some yelling about that.

At dinner time I asked her to give Jake a biscuit.  Usually there is no problem with her getting the step stool and getting him one.  Well tonight she wouldn't get the step stool and wanted me to do it...no help from me since I was trying to cook dinner... same process above...then add Mommy you need to go to time out for 4 minutes.  Um...ok...I am not the one doing anything wrong but ok! I just kept on cooking!

The icing on the cake bed time...when I closed the door her final words..., "Now mommy...you go to time out and then go to bed!"  And that sums up my evening! Here is my ticket to time out...and I am finally going to bed!

Tiny Dancer

Dance class is a busy place...I never usually get any ballet photos because there are too many people in the waiting room.  BUT I then have some time to grade papers. I tried getting some tap videos...the glare is horrible...but so cute!  They have been doing some more difficult steps...we may need some practice at home!
