I don't wanna...

eat my fruits! Olivia is protesting her fruit and even tonight her dinner! The only fruit that she will eat is bananas - and you know what happens when you eat too many bananas! She will eat banana pieces but will not eat any other fruit.  We have tried blueberries, apples, peaches, and pears.  She did great with the purees and I thought for sure she would transition to real fruit with no problems.  I talked to the doctor about it and she said to try mandarin oranges- tried that for lunch today- that was a no go and I even got some tears.  So her other suggestion was to puree the fruit.  I spent some time today pureeing some fruit! I hope she will eat it! Then she did not want to eat dinner tonight! She threw it all over the floor! I even had to put Jake in the crate because it was out of control.  I resorted to giving her applesauce and she ate that.  I know some days they eat like horses and other like birds- so today Olivia was a bird!

Here is the dinner disaster!

Olivia throwing and retrieving her ball!

Throwing, leaves, and Olivia's first boo boo

Olivia has really started throwing her things around.  She is learning cause and effect and object permanence.  She knows if she throws the ball it will go somewhere and then she will go get it.  Sometimes it will disappear and she has to bed down and look for it.  It is so cute!

We went to Hobby Lobby today to return some unused items from the party.  While waiting in line, she played peek-a-boo with the lady behind us! Thank goodness the lady was a willing participant! She was really good in the store.

After her nap we played inside for a bit and then went outside.  It was perfect outside and shady.  I think we might play at this time more often.  She was obsessed with the leaves in the grass. She picked up several different ones and even tried to taste some- yuck! Then when we were going back into the house Olivia was going really fast and fell in the driveway and scraped her knee.  Thankfully she didn't cry but now she has a little boo boo on her knee.

Then we read some books, had a bath, had some milk, and then brushed her teeth and off to bed!

Lets go lion!

Sigh of Relief!

Ahhh... I feel like I can breathe now that the party is over.  I spent some time today opening some toys so Olivia could check them out.  She is loving the shopping cart, new books, and basically everything!

I took Olivia to run some errands today and it is so nice that she is getting more portable.  We went to the bank and the grocery store.  After that we played outside.  She did LOTS of standing without holding on today.  I thought outside today she was going to take a step but she didn't.  I did get her to walk next to me with one hand in the hallway upstairs today.  We also have started brushing her teeth- well the 3 teeth she has and she seems to like it. Olivia will even open her mouth!

Hopefully you will scroll down past this post and see the pictures of cake!

Beep! Beep! Get out of my way! I had to put the weight in it for some heaviness!

What kind of groceries do we need today puppy?

Let her eat cake!

No words necessary...
