Not being a good blogger

I apologize that I have not been a good blogger lately.  I give myself a big frowny face for that.  Life has been crazy busy the past few weeks.

A few days before Christmas we got a very early Christmas present of Brendo being asked to transfer to a different position and to go to day watch.  We were very excited because we knew in the long run we want him on days so he can see Olivia at night especially when she starts PreK. 

So life has been turned upside down since the beginning of January.  Olivia now goes to daycare 5 days a week which means we are up very early and we are very tired when we get home, especially on meeting days. 

But it has been wonderful to have Brendon home at night.  We take turns with baths and putting Olivia to bed.  Which gives each of us a break at times.  Having my parents here for a week was great too because then we got to sleep in. 

As I looked at the calendar at school yesterday...70 days left...we can make it...I hope!

Olivia was so sad to see them go =( The house is so quiet...

Can't wait until May!

I really can't wait for May- yes warmer weather and stuff BUT can't wait to see Olivia in her dance recital =)

Yes Virginia...we have a mantel!

Finally after many hours and screws we have the mantel up!! So excited!!

Olivia did a great job encouraging Brendon! Now I can't wait to decorate it!

Baby it's cold outside....

Oh my, it was 12 degrees this morning! At least this year they didn't cancel school!! Last year it was such a waste to stay home.  So we bundled up today and went on like a regular day!! Olivia didn't complain about the cold much at all...just that she was tired!

She started gymnastics up again tonight and actually wore a different leotard...she has refused to wear anything else to class except either black leotards...tonight she wore long sleeves!

Olivia the tap dancer

We had dance tonight...wasn't sure how it was going to go since we have not had class in 2 weeks.  Once we got there she was fine...and we got to see her oh so cute recital costume! It is precious! I will snap a picture of it next week!!

But I watched her during her tap portion and she has gotten a bit better!! She is so cute though... how can you not think it is cute.

Sorry the quality is so bad...they are working on the studio...they painted her room pink but took down the curtains in the waiting room so the glare from the lights was worse than ever!

Back to Work

Today after 2 whole weeks of fun and LOTS of rain it was back to work.  I can admit that I was a little teary eyed dropping Olivia off today at Susan's house! I was sad...she is growing so fast and have LOTS of mom guilt dropping her off to daycare.  But millions, millions, and MILLIONS of women, men, and families do this every day!! I think in a few weeks when we are in a better routine life will get much easier! It is hard the first few days trying to get back into the swing of things.

But I was happy that she was happy when I picked her up! She even treated me to playing restaurant after dinner and making Spinach soup at Chilis! We then went fishing and crabbing in the submarine (our bed).  So spending time with her at night is the best when you can do stuff like that!
