September Sickies

Well, the September germs caught Olivia.  Last week it started with some sneezing and then the stuffy nose, by Thursday she complained her head hurt, so we skipped gymnastics.  Last Friday (the 18th) we had an appointment for a flu shot...well she had a 102 temp =( AND she was at school ALL day.  Then she had some tummy issues.  Saturday she slept most of the afternoon and Sunday she was a but better then the cough started and then on Monday she had some hives and then some on Tuesday night.  Ugh...I hate the cough, the hives, and everything that goes along with being sick.  Last night the cough was REALLY bad, so I slept in her room and made the choice not to send her to school today.  Brendon took her to the doctor and they gave us another inhaler.  So far tonight it seems better.

Here are some new school pictures from the past 2 weeks! Last week they did shapes/construction with a great field trip to Home Depot.  This week and next week is the farm.  Yesterday they got to go to the Gwinnett Fairgrounds and see the 4H display with animals! I love they go on so many field trips!!

This was the day she had the fever...totally can tell she is NOT happy!!

The start of farm week!

August Catch Up

Breathe. Exhale. August is over.  Still doing lots of school work is an understatement.

Olivia is settling in at school with the exception of a few warnings- she threw a toy, cried at lunch- she didn't want to eat her hamburger, and moved her snack clip off her shirt (TWICE). But she has had lots of fun.  She loves having a job.  She knows when she has a job because there is a pattern for her job, no job, job...she was excited to feed Brownie the guinea pig this week and tomorrow she gets to tell the weather. She is learning LOTS- lots of things with letters and sounds and rhymes.  What rhymes with dinosaur or flamingo?? I have no clue! They worked on making family trees at school.  Even though our tree has a few apples...it is beautiful!

At home she drew this beautiful picture on her write and wipe drawing mat.

Kind of hard to see but she drew a picture of us and wrote our names!

The best are the videos...she can't wait to be a cowgirl for Halloween and bless my heart I am going to try to make her costume. =)

Then we have been reading lots of sight word books.  Here is her reading the book after a partial read with me =)

August so far

I am really getting bad (shame on me) on keeping up this blog! Ahhh....must get better.  This back to work thing gets in the way!

Here is what we have been up too...

Survived the first weeks of school! Olivia loves Pre K.  We caught some Pre K cooties...first a stuffy nose and then some tummy issues.  I kept her home with the tummy issues cause no one wants that going around.

It rained a TON last week! We got 5 inches alone Saturday night to Sunday morning and even lost a tree.

AND we added a new family member...Welcome Dory Blue Sky Beta fish!  Olivia has really been asking for a dog and right now is just not the right time to train a puppy! Poor thing would be all alone! So we decided on this guy!

That's about all the fun we are having!!

We survived

We survived the first week of Pre K and school.  We are tired...everyone is moving slower today...but Olivia LOVES school and her teacher! She tells me all about her day and brings home "surprises" every day! The morning and after care is not her or my favorite part of the day.  She told me that she doesn't know the teachers' names in the afternoon and she is afraid to ask them to go to the restroom...we have had 2 incidents that as soon as I get there she has to go potty or as soon as we get in the car... but overall it is going well!

My class is so sweet and they are just precious...I am just tired too...lots of work the 1st couple weeks!

Here's to happy week 2! =)

A little rewind

Doing a quick little rewind over the past few weeks!

Olivia met her summer reading goal! We had lots of visiting the library and getting lots of books!

We were so blessed and thankful last week when I went back to work for pre-planning to have my parents here to help with Olivia, laundry, and cooking!

We had some fun!
