Surprises!

Yesterday we received 2 packages! We get really happy when we get packages!

The first package was from Melissa's cousins- Melanie and her 2 daughters Bonnie and Grace, and Lisa. Olivia received some great books- the ones that are touch and feel and have mirrors!! She also got some great toys, a soft blanket, and a picture frame. They also gave us a Target giftcard!! Thank you soooooo much!!

The second package was from our friend Cathy. Cathy got Olivia a cute monkey blanket and 4 receiving blankets which are big- we have been looking for some larger blankets for swaddling. Also Olivia got more plaid- everyone knows Melissa loves some plaid =) The shirt is adorable!! Cathy also sent some great information on breastfeeding. Melissa went to the class last Saturday and felt like she didn't have enough information- so thank you Cathy for letting us borrow your information and the beautiful gift.

We are so grateful and appreciative for all the gifts that we have received. We are overwhelmed by everyone's kindness and generosity. At times it is overwhelming because we know that there are so many people that love Olivia already. Thank you so much everyone!!

Almost 35 weeks update

Here are some updates from the past week or so...

A co-worker of Melissa's- Kristi Terri- also has a daughter named Olivia. She gave us 2 cute personalized burp clothes and is letting us borrow a cute diaper cover for some cute pictures!! Thank You Kristi!!

Thank you to the Whidden Family who sent us this great package today! We greatly appreciate it but we are so sad that you are moving this summer from Florida to Philidelphia. Who will we have a UGA/ Florida rivalry with???? But we are so happy for you! My friend Missy Whidden gave us the idea for the blog! Brendon decided to plant an apple tree for Olivia. Hopefully we will be picking apples together as a family in a few years. We planted another apple tree last year and it takes a few years to pollinate and produce apples.

34 Weeks- 6 weeks to go!

Melissa had her 34 week check up today and all went well. She had a good measurement and didn't gain any weight from last week! Wahoo!! Since Olivia sits high, she often puts pressure on her stomach which causes Melissa not a lot of room to eat. Her blood pressure is still really good but the swelling in her feet and legs continue. Doctor said water, water, water, and get those feet up. We go back next week for another check up!

School Shower

Melissa feels so blessed to work with such an amazing group of people. She landed in such a great place after being displaced and works with the best grade level and just loves her school. Today her grade level threw her a shower at school. They did such a fabulous job and we are so thankful for their hard work. We are so thankful for all the wonderful presents we received. Here are some pictures from today!

33 weeks... and the countdown begins...

Melissa had her appointment today and all went pretty well. Everything measured much better today and she got to see Olivia in action on the ultrasound. Olivia was hiccuping and then kept sticking her tongue out. Olivia weighed 4 pounds and 7 ounces and is in the 50th percentile for her weight. Dr. Watkins said that she might be on the smaller side. Melissa has had some really swollen feet and legs the past few days so the doctor really wants her off her feet as much as possible. She only wants her working regular work hours and nothing extra. We are now going weekly to the doctor and have been told to be prepared to go EARLY!

Baby Shower for Brendon

Since Brendon missed all the fun and excitement, we (Melissa, Debbie (Melissa's mom), and Aunt Cheryl) decided to throw Brendon a shower when he got home.
