Crabby Monday

Olivia was quite crabby this afternoon.  Not sure why but she was a grump...before her nap and after.  By dinner time she was fine.  She actually said, "I am ready to eat dinner!" She ate dinner and was fine.  We played some Little People and did some drawing.  She was a good helper and cleaned up!

Nothing too exciting today!

Georgia Apple Festival - Ellijay, GA

Being home for a month has been no fun.  So I suggested to Brendon we go do something fun.  The weather has been so nice...and yes the air conditioner is still on in October! So we looked at a few different things to do this weekend.  I really wanted to go pick apples in the mountains.  So we ended up going to the Georgia Apple Festival.  We got up pretty early and ate breakfast and left.  It took us about 2 hours to get there.  We wanted to get there early because Olivia is an afternoon napper.  So we got there and walked around.  There were lots of vendors selling their crafts.  I saw some cute stuff but to me it was a bit over priced and I could probably make the stuff at home.  We did buy 2 hair bows- a turkey and a candy cane.  Olivia went on a pony ride and loved it.  We bought some apples and a friend apple pie and kettle corn...yummmm!! We had lunch and then walked by the river a little bit along the river walk.

Olivia did great in the car and using the potty.  We brought her potty chair froggy.  She went when we got there, and when we dropped the apples off in the car.  Then the GPS took us the scenic route home and we passed a lot of orchards but they were crazy busy so we didn't stop.  Then we had to make one potty stop in a parking lot and then got home.  She finally took a rest on the way home for about 35 minutes.  So I am pretty sure she is ready for bed!!

Eating lunch...we brought lunch for her because of her tree nut allergy.  She did eat a few of my sweet potato chips though!

We had a busy Saturday! We went to dance class this morning.  Olivia did some dancing...us mommies left the room for a few minutes and all I saw Olivia do is the jump when the teacher got to it.  But she loves going. Then we came home and had lunch with the Dawgs...but they lost today.

Then it was nap time and crabby time after.  Brendon took her outside while I made some pumpkin zucchini bread which turned out really good and a chicken pot pie for dinner. 

We had an impromptu visit with the neighbors at their campfire and had fun.  Olivia went in her jammies and ate her snack there. It was fun!

We went to Wal-Mart AND Kroger!

Today when I got home from work Brendon was unloading all the grocery bags from his truck.  I opened the door to where Olivia was sitting and the first thing she said was, "We went to Wal-Mart AND Kroger!" She loves shopping with us.

We ate lunch together and had rest time.  Then she was super crabby when she woke up.  I think she laid on the floor in the living room refusing to do anything for about 20 minutes.  So that was fun.  But she ate dinner and then we did lots of drawing upstairs.  I will have to take some pictures of her art work...they were pretty good.  Of course since it is Friday we watched It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown...her favorite.

Go, Go, Go

Today was a busy day.  Thursdays are usually busy anyways but it was busy today. I had to work the afternoon today so Olivia went to Susan's a bit later.  I squeezed in a run, shower, and made dinner before I left for work.  I felt like Supermom!! Then went to work.  Then zoomed to pick up Olivia, then zoom home to let out Jake.  We were home about 10 minutes and the we zoomed off to Kindermusik.  So it has been a busy, busy day!!

Olivia got a special book from her friend Joe! It is so cute.  It si an ABC book but has her name and our last name all through the book! She loved it!

Yardwork and Gymboree

Daddy put Olivia to work today.  We have lots of leaves down so Olivia helped with her rake and wheelbarrow! She is such a good helper! I hope she likes to help in the future.

After Olivia's nap (YES she napped today!!) she was quite crabby! I didn't even think we would make it to Gymboree....but we did.  It was so good to see Lauren and Griffin! We haven't been to Gymboree on Wednesday in forever.  I have missed our dinner dates!  After dinner we took the kids to the fountain which is colored pink for Breast Cancer awareness.  It was really cool.  When the fountain was low it was loud.  Both kids loved it and didn't want to leave!

What to do one someone doesn't nap

This is the 2nd day in a row of no nap! Ahhh...I may just lose my sanity a bit.  She took about a 20 minute cat nap on the way home from Susan's house....I should have known that this would be her nap.  Usually I can get her back down at home but not today.  She stayed in her room for quite a bit and was quiet but not sleeping.  Eventually she came down about an hour later.  Since it was so nice today I was like...we gotta get out.  So we went to Tribble Mill Park for a but.  We went for a walk.  She looks like a giant now in her stroller and boy she is heavy to push! So we walked for a bit then went to the playground. It was fun and the perfect day for some park time. Now I hope she naps tomorrow...we shall see...
