Bedtime Thunderstorm

We had a pretty good day today.  We did some shopping at Aldi's and Sam's Club.  I swear Olivia loves to check out the restroom in every store we go to.  Although I am glad that she doesn't have accidents...sometimes walking all over stores to find the bathrooms and praying that they are clean is the hard work. 

After Olivia's brief nap...I think they are getting shorter and shorter...sniff, sniff...we swam really quick and then got ready for Gymboree.  We had lots of fun tonight.

When we left Gymboree the sky was dark...really dark.  It didn't rain until we got home.  But we had some pretty big booms.  There was one big boom so loud that Olivia jumped and screamed and said she was all done with her snack.  Then it has taken awhile for the booms to go away and a very long time to get her to go to bed.  I hope there are no more storms tonight!

I'm Done

This morning we had Kindermusik class.  It was Ms. Dana's birthday so we made her a card before we left and Olivia gave it to her when we got to class.  She was so excited to give it to her but then got all shy when it was time to give it to her.  We had lots of fun at class with our friends.

After Kindermusik we stopped at my school to do two quick school things and then came home.  We played outside a bit since the sun was actually out!! YAY for sun!

After lunch we played in the sandbox and blew bubbles and then it was nap time.  About 30 minutes into her nap she woke up screaming, "I'm Done!!" She said she was done taking her nap and wanted to go in the pool.  I thought she was saying I'm done because she had a potty accident.  But she didn't want to take a nap...finally got her to relax and fall back asleep which last for about 30 minutes! Then we had a snack and went in the pool.  She was much happier then.

After dinner we threw some bread to the birds and played in the driveway a bit.  Olivia LOVES chalk.  We have lots of chalk in the driveway now!

Singing

We have a singer.  I catch Olivia singing more and more.  Mostly just nursery rhymes but she sings to her dolls, to Curious George, and sometimes we sing together. Her favorites are 5 Little Monkeys, Rock a bye baby, ABCs, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, You are my sunshine, Itsy Bitsy Spider and a few others.  But she is so cute when she sings.  Also tonight I noticed when I was drying her hair that is is getting a bit lighter- it has some blonde in it.  So cute!

Rainy Sunny Sunday

This morning we had yummy pancakes with our homegrown blueberries!! They were so good!

Then it rained and then was sunny and it did that all day long.  It was super annoying.  Olivia had some fun playing with her new Curious George in Jake's crate this morning. 

We played outside for a bit this afternoon and got rained on then played inside and then went back outside.  After dinner it was so nice out.  Olivia took one of her dolls in the stroller for a walk down the street.  She didn't want to wear any shorts so we let her play outside in her underwear!

No plan Saturday

Olivia woke up early at 5 am calling out my name and was upset.  Finally got her back to bed but that dampened my plan of getting up early to run.  After breakfast I ended up running about 10 a.m. which is usually late for July...but it was overcast and sprinkling...again.  I met Brendon and Olivia  at Home Depot and we looked at some tile for our possible bathroom remodel.  Then we went to Lowes and looked at more tile.  Then home for lunch and Olivia ate a good lunch.  I ran some errands while Olivia napped and when I got home Olivia was helping Brendon "rake" the grass.  The grass was so heavy today and there was a ton to rake! Then we had dinner and Olivia got all weird after drinking her milk.  I think she drank it too fast...she is a milkaholic.  She was crying and screaming that she needed to go to bed and then was saying her tummy hurt.  She even pointed where it hurt...I think she had some gas and needed to burp.  Finally I got her to relax and she was fine and was fine the rest of the night!

P.S. Olivia had her first big no no- she stuck a ball in the hole of the subwoofer...it has yet to be found!

Garden Goodies

Olivia and I went grocery shopping today and has such a great time.  She does so good at the grocery store!

After unloading the groceries and lunch we went outside.  Brendon informed us that he was going to pick blueberries so we went and helped.  Then he picked some green beans and Olivia and I picked some tomatoes.  We can't wait to have blueberry pancakes this weekend!! Yummy!!!

I worked a bit more on Olivia's bathroom.  It is almost done...I need to get some pictures for the walls.  It is a bit echoey in there.  When I get the wall art up I will take some pictures!

5 Little Monkeys

Olivia got a new book from Kindermusik...5 Little Monkeys.  It has been her new favorite book and song.  She likes to sing it and read it all the time.  She just had to bring it in bed with her this morning.  Tonight I wanted to get her in action with it but we couldn't find the book.  We looked EVERYWHERE! Finally I remembered this morning she was playing in the kitchen cabinets...tada! We found it.

I think it is hilarious at the end of the movie that she says she wants Griffin!
