I have wanted to do this race for a long time! Finally I got in last summer!!
I spent 16 LONG weeks training. I tried a new way of running the long distance runs. The Jeff Galloway run-walk method. I run 3 minutes then walk a minute and repeat! I felt so much better at the end of the race and didn't feel like death. I wanted my time to be 2:15 or less but I ended up being 2:16:07 or something like that. I will take it! Close enough to my goal. It was such a fun weekend with friends! It was tiring but fun!
