30 Weeks...and 10 to go!

Gosh we can't believe that there are just 10 weeks to go. The clock is really starting to tick LOUDLY. We are a little bit excited and nervous. We just can't wait to meet Olivia. Melissa passed her Gestational Diabetes test! Wahoo! So we were very happy about that. We start our Ready and Able classes on Sunday that will get us prepared for Olivia's arrival. Other then that all is going well and our next doctor's appointment is on Valentine's Day!

Here is a cute little poem Melissa found today!

I Am Not Alone

Running errands and talking on the phone,
I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone.
Little tiny hands a precious rounded knee
pushing and twisting that no one can see.
Oh sweet child kicking up your heels,
it is our little secret that only I can feel.
I look forward to your birth,
when I can kiss your skin,
but for now I will just smile,
As I feel you play within.

No more Hawaiian Punch for Melissa!

YUCK! That is all Melissa had to say. This morning was her Gestational Diabetes test. She drank the nasty drink which tasted like Hawaiian Punch with 10 times the sugar and thickness and she will never probably drink real Hawaiian Punch ever again. You have to drink the drink in 5 minutes. The first few sips weren't TOO bad, but thankfully she finished it in the last 10 seconds! Hopefully we will know if she passed the test soon. This is one test that we want to pass!!

The Nastiest Drink ever made...

Olivia's Heartbeat 28 weeks

Here is a video of Olivia's heartbeat at 28 weeks. This is also our wonderful doctor Dr. Watkins.

Good Report

We went to the doctor today and had a great report. Everything measured exactly where it should be for 28 weeks. We did not get to see Olivia today since they were only doing some technical measurements. Melissa has to have her Gestational Diabetes test done on Wednesday...fun, fun! That is where you have to drink a very sugary, nasty drink.

Here are some pictures of the nursery and the baby bump!

A VERY Happy and Blessed Family!

28 Weeks- Officially 3rd Trimester!

Today marks Week 28 which is the start of the third trimester. YAY! We are almost there. With all that excitement there is also lots of body changes. Yes the belly is growing and yes we know we need to get a picture. Maybe this weekend. Melissa is feeling good but is having a hard time sleeping at night and all the extra weight is a lot to carry around.

Here is what Olivia should be doing at 28 weeks: By now, your baby, who weighs in at about two and a half pounds and stands — or rather lies — at almost 16 inches (measured head to toe) has added blinking to his or her growing bag of tricks.

We go to the doctor on Monday so we hope that all goes well. We are very excited to see Olivia!

Today we also visited our pediatrician. We really loved the doctor's office and it is very close to home. Looks like Lawrenceville Pediatrics will be our pediatrician's office. We got to meet with a doctor and take a tour of the facility. It was very nice. Below is a picture of what it looks from the outside.
